SPACERS FOR INSULATED GLASS UNITS
This disclosure provides spacers for smart windows. In one aspect, a window assembly includes a first substantially transparent substrate having an optically switchable device on a surface of the first substrate. The optically switchable device includes electrodes. A first electrode of the electrodes has a length about the length of a side of the optically switchable device. The window assembly further includes a second substantially transparent substrate a metal spacer between the first and the second substrates. The metal spacer has a substantially rectangular cross section, with one side of the metal spacer including a recess configured to accommodate the length of the first electrode such that there is no contact between the first electrode and the metal spacer. A primary seal material bonds the first substrate to the metal spacer and bonds the second substrate to the metal spacer.
STACKING RING FOR CHAIR BASES
A stacking ring for a chair base may be disposable between a first and second chair base such that the stacking ring generally prevents lateral movement of the first chair base relative to the second chair base. The stacking ring may be integrally formed to the chair base, or separate and disposable between at least two chair bases. The stacking ring may substantially prevent rotation of a first chair base relative to a second chair base.
Coupling for Connecting Construction Parts, a Truss Provided Therewith and Associated Method and Use
The invention relates to a coupling for connecting construction parts, a truss provided therewith and associated method and use. The coupling comprises a female and a male coupling part. The female coupling part comprises: a tubular receiving part, in the wall of which an opening is provided; a ball which is placed in the opening and which is movable in radial direction of the receiving part; and a locking sleeve which is screwed onto and encloses the receiving part and which by being screwed is movable in the longitudinal direction of the receiving part between an opened position, in which the locking sleeve allows movement of the ball in the opening for the purpose of placing/removing the male coupling part into/from the receiving part, and a closed position in which the locking sleeve locks the male coupling part in the female coupling part with the ball, wherein the male coupling part is an elongate pin which comprises in its outer wall a groove for the ball.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INTERCONNECTING STRUCTURAL PANELS
Building or structural panels may be joined, such as to form walls or floors. The panels may be connected in various orientations via one or more connectors. The connectors may mount to anchors associated with the panels. The panels may have outer skins located over an expanded core comprising a matrix of supporting elongate members and voids or openings, with the anchors located at edges of the panels.
Internally coupleable joint
An internally coupleable joint is disclosed. The joint can include a first component and a second component configured to mate with one another in an end-to-end relationship. An axially extending protrusion of the first component can interface with a corresponding recess of the second component. In addition, the first component and the second component can each have an internal coupling feature extending at least partially about an inner circumference of the respective component. The joint can also include a securing member having external coupling features configured to engage the internal coupling features of the first and second components to prevent separation of the first and second components.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SPLIT ROTOR BLADE, AND ROTOR BLADE
A method for producing a split rotor blade, a method for connecting a split rotor blade, a rotor blade, a rotor blade segment, a rotor, a wind power plant, and a production device for producing rotor blades. A method for producing a split rotor blade, comprising: providing a rotor blade having a spar cap and an extension in the longitudinal direction from a blade root region to a blade tip; making at least one groove in the spar cap, the groove being arranged in a first connection region of the rotor blade, and a portion of the main extension direction of the groove being oriented parallel to the longitudinal direction; splitting the rotor blade, in the first connection region, into a rotor blade section facing the blade root and a rotor blade section facing away from the blade root, a first groove section being arranged in the rotor blade section facing the blade root and a second groove section being arranged in the rotor blade section facing away from the blade root.
