Disclosed herein is an artificial fingernail that magnetically affixes to the fingers of a user. The user first applies a clear magnetic nail polish to their fingers. When dry, the artificial fingernail, manufactured including magnetic polymers, affixes directly to the magnetic nail polish coating. In various embodiments, the magnetic polymers used in the artificial fingernail are configured to various contexts and preferences.

Methods for producing a cosmetic coating on a skin surface, by: (A) electrostatically spraying a composition comprising component (a) one or more volatile substances selected from the group consisting of water, an alcohol and a ketone, and component (b) a polymer having a film-forming ability directly onto the skin to form a coating on the skin surface; and (B) subsequently applying a powder-containing cosmetic on the formed coating, afford cosmetic coatings which can be removed without using a cleansing agent.
