Plug-in coupling having an elastically deformable coupling part and installation method therefor
An elastically deformable coupling part for a plug-in connection for connecting a first component and a second component, has an inner connection portion, in which a head of a pin-like element of the second component can be accommodated by a detent or snap-in connection. In addition, the coupling part has an outer fastening portion, which can be connected to a keyhole of the first component by a bayonet closure. The fastening portion comprises at least one radial contact surface. At least one first radial projection, which forms a bayonet gap for a rotational accommodation of the first component, is arranged at an axial distance from the radial contact surface. At least one second radial projection, which forms a locking gap for the first component between the second projection and the radial contact surface by a movability directed inward, is arranged at an axial distance from the radial contact surface.
Protective sports helmet
A football helmet includes a plastic shell with side regions having an ear flap with a face guard connector, an ear opening, a slot, and a snap connector. The helmet also includes an internal padding assembly removably connected to the plastic shell and including a jaw pad with a force attenuating layer. When the helmet is worn, a front edge of the jaw pad is positioned both in front of a coronal plane and below a basic plane of a head of the helmet wearer. A chin strap assembly releasably secures the helmet to the wearer and includes a lower flexible strap extending outwardly from each side of a central protective member. When the helmet is worn, an extent of the lower flexible strap is received by the slot when said strap is affixed to the snap connector. The shell also includes a raised central band integrally formed as part of the shell and extending across the crown region to the rear region. An arrangement of elongated vent openings flank the raised central band.
Sports helmet
The present invention provides a protective sports helmet for a wearer engaged in a contact sport, such as football. The helmet includes a shell having a front region, a rear region, two side regions, and an ear flap depending from a side region. A jaw flap extends forwardly from each ear flap, wherein the jaw flap overlies an extent of a mandible of the wearer. The shell also includes a raised central band that extends from the front region across the crown to the rear region. The central band has lower side portions that extend from the rear region towards the side region of the shell and terminate proximate an ear opening in the shell. The central band has a width defined by a pair of opposed sidewalls that extend transversely from an outer surface of the shell. The shell also includes a first plurality of vent openings aligned along a first side of the raised central band and a second plurality of vent openings aligned along a second side of the band.
WALL BLOCKS, VENEER PANELS FOR WALL BLOCKS AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING WALLS
Wall blocks, veneers, veneer connectors, walls, and methods of constructing walls are provided. More particularly, the invention relates to constructing walls in which a veneer panel is attached to a wall block with a connector and in which the front faces of the veneers have a desirable texture.
Joint structure for composite member
A joint structure (1) for a composite member made from a composite material. The joint structure includes a plate for increasing thickness (40a, 40b) adhered to at least one side of the composite member (10). The composite member (10) and a counterpart member (20) are fastened together by inserting and fixing a fastener member (30) into a through-hole (24, 26) formed through the composite member (10), the plate for increasing thickness (40a, 40b), and the counterpart member (20) to be joined to the composite member.
Furniture and other item assembly method and system
A hardware system for assembly to form an item, such as an item of furniture. The system includes a tension adjustment device, such as a turnbuckle, which may be threadably engaged with two rods, inserted into two rod inserts located on each of the turnbuckle's two opposite sides. The rods may pass through a series of alternating base material components and spacers therebewteen to form an item's body, the turnbuckle being located, for example, in or near the middle of the two series. The ends of the rods opposite the turnbuckle may be threaded into inserts fixed in an end piece of base material of their respective series. The turnbuckle may be twisted or otherwise adjusted to secure or compress the system. A final assembly may have one or more such series and may give the illusion of a solid bar of hardware being passed through the base material.
Corner connection bracket for solar energy panels
Solar panel connection assemblies for mounting solar energy panels to buildings as well as for affixing multiple solar energy panels together. Solar panel corner connection assemblies including a bracket that can be fastened to the corner edge of solar panel frames. Solar panel corner connection assemblies including flanges extending from the corner of a bracket for connecting with a neighboring flange on a neighboring bracket.
Concealed structural post fastening device and method
A post fastening device for mounting a post to a construction surface, the device comprising a base having a planar top surface and a threaded rod extending from the top surface, a tubular member for insertion into a longitudinal axial bore on the bottom end of the post, the tubular member having an upper end and a lower end with internal threads complementary to the threads of the rod, and a dowel rod for insertion into a transverse bore extending through a portion of the post and the tubular member when the tubular member is in the longitudinal bore, the dowel rod being sized to pass through the tubular member and a portion of the post on both sides of the tubular member.
DEVICE FOR MOUNTING AN ATTACHMENT PART TO A CARRIER PART
A device for mounting an attachment part to a carrier part (1) has two mutually opposite legs (2, 3) and an external head plate (14) which are each arranged at a distance from one another. The head plate (14) and the leg (3) adjacent to the head plate (14) have threaded structures (11, 15) which, through an interaction of a blocking unit (16), having a stop portion (17) and an overlap portion (18), with a holding down means (7) and with the leg (3) bearing a threaded structure (11), are arranged at a fixed distance from one another to form an internal thread. Consequently, with the device being able to be produced and handled simply, a fastening screw can be reliably screwed in with a relatively low torque while having a high pull-out resistance.
Lockable Lateral Adjuster Mechanism
A lockable lateral adjuster mechanism comprises a platform with a channel carried by a base. A cam has an eccentric head that is pivotally disposed in the channel. The cam has a stem extending through the channel and into a counter bore in the base. The platform is laterally displaceable with respect to the base as the cam pivots. A countersunk interface is disposed between the eccentric head and the channel. A fastener extends through the cam to the base, and secures the cam, and thus the platform, to the base, and applies an axial load on the countersunk interface along an axis of rotation of the cam.
