Cutting head and cutting tool having a replaceable cutting head
A cutting head for a cutting tool includes a cutting portion and a shank portion. The cutting portion has a plurality of integrally formed cutting edges and the shank portion has a first end adjacent the cutting portion and a second end. The first portion of the shank portion is closer to the first end of the shank portion than the second and third portions of the shank portion and the third portion of the shank portion is disposed closer to the second end of the shank portion than the first and second portions. The first portion of the shank portion has an exterior surface including at least one axially extending recess extending from an end of the first portion closest to the second portion toward the first end of the shank portion. The cutting head is formed of a pressed and sintered cemented carbide material.
Parting blade and blade holder configured for conveyance of pressurized coolant
A cutting tool assembly includes a parting blade and a blade holder for holding same. The cutting tool assembly is configured for conveying pressurized coolant via the holder to a cutting portion of the parting blade. The blade holder includes a deceleration chamber configured for reducing the impact of the pressurized coolant against the parting blade.
Thread forming tool
The invention relates to a thread forming tool having a thread part based on a helical effective surface (1), and an adjoining clamping shank (2), wherein the helical effective surface (1) is formed by pressing lobes (5) and the thread part extends from a chamfer or taper (6) in the direction of the clamping shank (2). Furthermore, at least one axially oriented, groove-like cooling channel (7) that runs between the pressing lobes (5) and extends from the chamfer or taper (6) to the clamping shank (2) is provided. According to the invention, the width of the at least one cooling channel (7) increases from the chamfer (6) in the direction of the clamping shank (2).
Cutting tool holder and cutting tool
A recess surface portion 123 is formed in a predetermined range L1 from a front end 103 toward a rear end, of a lateral flank 120 of a front end portion 102 of a holder 100, so as to be recessed relative to a lateral flank 120b of a rear portion 122, a circular arc surface portion (frontward-facing surface) 125 formed in a circular arc shape as seen from a rake face 105 side is provided on the rear of the recess surface portion 123, and an ejection port 150 is opened in the frontward-facing surface. Accordingly, supply of the coolant at the lateral flank side is ensured, and cutting can be performed at a position closer to a chuck Ck due to no protruding portion being present at the lateral flank side of the holder as in the conventional art.
Turning tool holder and cutting tool insert
A turning tool holder includes a tool body, a cutting tool insert, and a shim. A coolant conduit system extends through the turning tool holder, a first portion of the coolant conduit system extending through the tool body and an end portion of the coolant conduit system extending through the shim. The end portion of the coolant conduit system includes a through hole extending from a first surface to an opposite second surface of the shim. The end portion has a coolant outlet opening at the second surface, the coolant outlet opening being formed by the shim alone. A jet of coolant from the coolant outlet opening may be directed towards a space expected to have a cutting zone of a workpiece. Further a cutting tool insert arranged to be used in a turning tool holder is disclosed.
Machining equipment
The present disclosure provides a machining equipment which includes a seat, a plurality of electrodes, and a machining assembly assembled on the seat. The machining assembly includes a pole mounted on the seat, a machining tool mounted on the pole, and two protrusions formed on the pole. The pole defines a channel. Each protrusion defines an opening communicated with the channel. The two openings of the two protrusions face the machining tool.
Cutting tool
A cutting tool (10) comprises a shank (12) for receiving a cutting insert (14) and a block (16) for delivering a flow of fluid to the cutting insert (14). Fluid is delivered to the cutting insert (14) through a fluid passageway (18) that extends through the shank (12) and the block (16). The block (16) is pivotable mounted on the shank (12). The block (16) pivots about screw (22) between a first and a second position. In the first position the block (16) is held in sealing arrangement with the shank (12) to allow the passage of a coolant through the fluid passage (18) to the cutting insert (14). In the second position the block (16) has moved to allow removal of the cutting insert (14) from the shank (12).
CUTTING TOOL WITH COOLING MECHANISM AND A CUTTING INSERT AND TOOL HOLDER THEREFOR
An integral cutting tool configured for revolving about a central axis is provided. The cutting tool is formed with at least one cutting portion having a rake surface, a relief surface, and a cutting edge formed at the intersection between the rake surface and the relief surface. The cutting tool is further provided with a cooling fluid provision arrangement having at least one passage, and a cooling aperture formed at the relief surface. The cooling aperture is directed towards the cutting edge at an acute angle.
Holder and cutting tool
A holder and a cutting tool with the holder including an insertion hole at a front end part thereof, and a cutting insert that includes a cutting edge part and a shank part. The shank part has substantially a rod shape. A part of the shank part is immovably located in the insertion hole. The front end part of the holder includes a first curved surface part that becomes wider from a front end toward a back side when viewed from a side thereof. The first curved surface part includes: a curved line that extends from an edge of an opening of the insertion hole toward the back side; or a straight line that extends from the edge of the opening of the insertion hole and connects to a curved line that extends continuously from the straight line toward the back side without an angular part.
Tool system
A cutting tool system comprising a carrier tool, a cutting plate having a clamping recess and a clamping element with an associated clamping bolt, wherein on the underside of the clamping element, which underside faces the cutting plate, an engagement element is arranged that is in clamping contact with the clamping recess in the engaged state and thereby anchors the cutting plate, and the clamping element is guided via a chamfer in such a manner that when tightening the clamping bolt, the clamping element is pulled in the clamping direction.
