Methods and Apparatus for Fabricating Porous Three-Dimensional Tubular Scaffolds
Disclosed herein are three-dimensional porous tubular scaffolds for cardiovascular, periphery vascular, nerve conduit, intestines, bile conduct, urinary tract, and bone repair/reconstruction applications, and methods and apparatus for making the same.
Composite tube assemblies and methods
Composite tubes comprising a compression sleeve coupled to an inner surface of a composite tube, a carbon extrusion member disposed within the composite tube, and an end fitting comprising a locking feature, wherein the end fitting is coupled to an inner surface of the compression sleeve and the locking feature is configured to engage the carbon extrusion member are disclosed. Methods comprising coupling a compression sleeve to an inner surface of a distal end of a composite tube, placing a carbon extrusion member inside the compression sleeve and the composite tube, and disposing an end fitting on the distal end of the composite tube, wherein the end fitting comprises a locking feature configured to interact with the carbon extrusion member are also disclosed.
Gas storage device
The present disclosure provides a gas storage device. In an embodiment, the gas storage device includes a cylinder with opposing ends. An endcap is present at each end. The cylinder and the endcaps form an enclosure. Each endcap includes a connector. A diaphragm is located in the enclosure. The diaphragm includes an annular sidewall. The device includes an inner chamber defined by an inner surface of the sidewall, and a storage space between an interior surface of the cylinder and an outer surface of the sidewall. A metal hydride composition is located in the storage space.
Heat-shrinkable multilayer film
Provided is a heat-shrinkable multilayer film including: an outer surface layer including a thermoplastic resin; an intermediate layer including a polyamide resin; and an inner surface layer including a sealable resin; the total thickness of the heat-shrinkable multilayer film being from 95 to 160 μm; the thickness of the intermediate layer including the polyamide resin being from 17 to 47 μm; the thickness of the inner surface layer being 55 μm or greater; and the ratio of the thickness of the intermediate layer including the polyamide resin to the total thickness of the heat-shrinkable multilayer film being from 18 to 29%. The heat-shrinkable multilayer film of the present invention has high strength and excellent flexibility. Therefore, the heat-shrinkable multilayer film of the present invention is easily stretched and formed, and can be suitably used as a variety of packaging materials including a food packaging material.
Resin-coated stainless steel foil, container and secondary battery
The present invention provides a resin-coated stainless steel foil capable of maintaining a strong adherence force to the film even in an electrolytic solution to exhibit good corrosion resistance and excellent in the workability, design property and piecing resistance, and a container and a secondary battery each using the resin-coated stainless steel foil. A resin-coated stainless steel foil having a chromate treatment layer of 2 to 200 nm in thickness on at least one surface of a stainless steel foil and having at least a polyolefin-based resin (A) layer containing a functional group having polarity on the chromate treatment layer; and a container and a secondary battery each using the resin-coated stainless steel foil are also provided.
Printable coating
A primer-less coating composition for facestock comprises: a binder being a water-dispersible polymer; an ethylenically unsaturated compound which is aqueous-dispersible and miscible with or bonded to said water-dispersible polymer, wherein said ethylenically unsaturated compound is able to form a covalent bond with an ink; and a crosslinker, wherein said crosslinker is suitable for binding the coating to the facestock. The coating composition may be applied to a substrate to form a printable film. A printed film in accordance with the invention may be used in a label, for example for use on a container such as a bottle.
Vacuum insulation panel
A manufactured apparatus formed via a deep drawn stamping process for use within a building as an insulation device applied both to the exterior sheathing of an existing or new edifice and also above the ceiling plane below its roof structure; which consists of two half vessels made from malleable material, each containing similar structural appurtenances on their exterior faces, which when bonded together encase a cruciform rigid plastic grid-like lattice having many apertures therein for the complete removal of air within this subsequently sealed vessel. This complete state of vacuum totally prevents or drastically stops the transmigration of heat energy loss via conduction and convection from the interior of a building's space to the outside environment during the winter months; and vice versa, thus also retarding any interior gain of ambient heat during the hot summer months.
Protective apparatuses for rotary control knobs
In some embodiments, a protective apparatus for rotary control knobs may comprise a cover adapted fit over a rotary control knob; a knob cavity internal to the cover adapted to provide space for the rotary control knob to rotate about; and an access aperture located on the surface of cover member and adapted to provide limited user access to the rotary control knob. The cover member may be configured to encase or surround a control knob. The apparatus may further comprise a plate which may be integrally formed or molded to the cover and which contains a control shaft aperture adapted to receive the control shaft of a rotary control assembly. Once a control shaft is inserted through the control shaft aperture, a fastener may be secured to the control shaft over the plate, thereby securing the apparatus to the control shaft.
Tubular silk compositions and methods of use thereof
Described are tubular silk fibroin compositions and methods for their manufacture and use. Tubular compositions as described herein can be produced in a range of high burst strengths, can easily be made in a range of inner diameters, can be derivatized with functional moieties, and can be produced in a range of permeabilities suitable for particularized uses. In one aspect, the tubular compositions can be used in the repair or replacement of damaged or diseased blood vessels, including, but not limited to vessels smaller than about 6 mm.
