Web and method for making fluid filled units
An elongate flattened thermoplastic tube has an inflation edge and an opposite edge. The tube includes spaced transverse seals that define sides of pouches. The tube includes lines of weakness that allow adjacent dunnage units to be separated. A frangible line of connection is disposed in one two superposed layers of the tube proximate to the inflation edge. This frangible connection may be broken to permit inflation of the inflatable pouches.
Masking tape with multi-directional hand tear
A hand-tearable masking tape with a primary microstructured hand-tear pattern and at least one secondary hand-tear pattern oriented so that the tape exhibits multi-directional tear.
EDGE CHAMFERING BY MECHANICALLY PROCESSING LASER CUT GLASS
Processes of chamfering and/or beveling an edge of a glass substrate of arbitrary shape using lasers are described herein. Two general methods to produce chamfers on glass substrates are the first method involves cutting the edge with the desired chamfer shape utilizing an ultra-short pulse laser that is followed by mechanical polishing with a compliant polishing wheel.
Precompressed sealing tape
The precompressed sealing tape for sealing a joint has an elastically re-expandable foam strip. The sealing tape also has a sheet-like wrapping, which at least partially surrounds the foam strip, and a strip-like element, which is arranged in the area of a lower transverse surface of the foam strip and which has greater flexural strength than the foam strip. A first section of the sheet-like wrapping is arranged between the lower transverse surface of the foam strip and the strip-like element.
SEPARABLE COMPOSITE LABELING ARTICLES IN SHEET OR ROLL FORM
A linear series of connected unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling articles, each of which comprises a labeling tag flatly cojoined along a unifying flat bond zone with a flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag and includes an elastic fastening loop. Adjacent labeling articles of the series are ruptureably connected in a manner permitting the series to be handled as a unit while at the same time permitting ruptureable separation of individual merchandise labeling articles from the series. In one embodiment, the linear series is wound into roll form.
SHEET HAVING REMOVABLE LABELS AND RELATED METHOD
A label sheet including a facestock, and a liner releasably coupled to the facestock. The facestock includes a label and the liner includes a weakened separation line. The weakened separation line at least partially underlies the label. Also, the weakened separation line includes an apex.
Self-Laminating Rotating Cable Marker with Breakaway Portion
A self-laminating rotating cable marker label is constructed of a transparent film having a first adhesive area, an adhesive-free smooth area, and a second adhesive area. A print-on area forms one side of the transparent film, the print-on area adapted to receive indicia identifying the cable about which the marker label is applied. A perforation extends across the transparent film providing a line of separation of the transparent film. When wrapped around a cable, the second adhesive area overlies the print-on area such that the cable identifying indicia is visible through the transparent second adhesive area. As the transparent film is wrapped around the cable, the first adhesive area adheres to the cable. The remainder of the transparent film is rotated, breaking the perforation, whereby the smooth area of the film in contact with the cable provides smooth rotation of the label around the cable.
EDGE CHAMFERING METHODS
Processes of chamfering and/or beveling an edge of a glass substrate of arbitrary shape using lasers are described herein. Two general methods to produce chamfers on glass substrates are the first method involves cutting the edge with the desired chamfer shape utilizing an ultra-short pulse laser to create perforations within the glass; followed by an ion exchange.
ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR CREATING CUSTOM STRUCTURES FROM PRINTABLE BLANK SHEETS
A printable blank sheet includes a sheet with a top substrate and a bottom layer, a dry lift adhesive connecting the top substrate to the bottom layer, cut lines in the sheet that extend through the top substrate and the dry lift adhesive but not through the bottom layer, and an object with an intricate shape cut into the top substrate with a periphery of the object defined by the cut lines. The object can be removed from the sheet by separating the object and the bottom layer along the dry lift adhesive.
Wrapping material for tobacco industry products
An elongate web of wrapping material having a longitudinal axis and a series of lines of weakening spaced from each other in a direction along the axis is disclosed. Each line of weakening is configured to form an extraction opening for the removal of smoking articles from a bundle of smoking articles wrapped in a longitudinal section of the wrapping material cut from the web. A portion of each line of weakening extends in a longitudinal direction, and at least a part of said portion extends at an angle to the longitudinal axis. A method of manufacturing an elongate web of wrapping material is also disclosed.
