Water-based coatings for color sampling
A color sampling display product is provided that includes a radiation-curable water-based coating composition applied to a substrate, and shows mechanical integrity and aesthetic appeal.
COTENDERED NONWOVEN/PULP FABRIC AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
The present invention is directed to a nonwoven fabric made from a composite of nonwoven and pulp where the nonwoven has a high loft derived from a heat set three-dimensional relief structure and/or hydroengorged fiber structure. A nonwoven web is hydraulically treated to create a hydroengorged material having an increased loft. Alternatively a nonwoven web is treated to have a heat set three-dimensional relief structure. The treated web is then hydroentangled with pulp to form a cotendered nonwoven/pulp composite fabric.
Plastic Coated Composite Building Boards and Method of Making Same
Disclosed are composite building boards and associated manufacturing methods. The composite boards may include, for example, one or more slurry layers with embedded fibrous mats. An exterior plastic coating is mechanically adhered to the underlying slurry layer. The plastic layer chemically bonds and cross-links with polymer additives within the slurry layer. The result is an integrated polymer matrix with greatly improved durability and surface strength.
Molding material, prepreg, fiber-reinforced composite material, fiber-reinforced composite material laminate, and process for production of fiber-reinforced molding base material
A molding material is provided including a composite having 1 to 50 wt % of (A) a bundle of continuous reinforcing fibers and 0.1 to 40 wt % of (B) a polyarylene sulfide prepolymer or (B) a polyarylene sulfide; and 10 to 98.9 wt % of (C) a thermoplastic resin adhered to the composite; wherein the composite further has (D) a zero-valent transition metal compound or (E) a low-valent iron compound in an amount of 0.001 to 20 mol % based on the amount of sulfur atoms contained in the component (B) or (B). A prepreg and a method of producing a fiber-reinforced molding base material is also provided. By using the molding material according to the present invention which exhibits excellent economic efficiency and productivity, a molded article having excellent mechanical characteristics can be easily produced.
Collagen materials and methods for obtaining same
The invention relates to novel collagen materials and, specifically, collagen membranes, tubes and threads. Said materials combine enhanced properties of resilience and strength. The invention also relates to a method for preparing collagen materials using acid fibrous collagen comprising coagulation and, optionally, cross-linking of the collagen in the presence of ammonia gas.
Ligand functionalized polymers
Ligand functionalized substrates, methods of making ligand functionalized substrates, and methods of using functionalized substrates are disclosed.
Self-crosslinking polysiloxane-modified polyhydroxy polyurethane resin, resin material containing same, method for producing same, artificial leather comprising same, and thermoplastic polyolefin skin material comprising same
Provided are a self-crosslinking polysiloxane-modified polyhydroxy polyurethane resin derived from a reaction of a 5-membered cyclic carbonate polysiloxane compound represented by the following formula (1) and an amine compound and having polysiloxane segments and masked isocyanate groups in its structure: ##STR00001##
wherein A means ##STR00002##
and its production process. The present invention can provide a polyhydroxy polyurethane resin, the development of applications of which has not moved ahead in the prior art, as a novel self-crosslinking polyhydroxy polyurethane resin that enables to provide products excellent in lubricity, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, non-tackiness, heat resistance and the like, is useful from the viewpoint of the reduction of warming gas, and is responsive to the environment.
Thermally sprayed protective coating for industrial and engineered fabrics
A fabric or belt and a method for forming such a fabric or belt, including a base support structure and at least one coating with the coating being applied by a thermal spray process.
Epoxy-resin composition and film, prepreg, and fiber-reinforced plastic using same
An epoxy-resin composition of the components (A), (B), (D) and (E), where component (A) is an epoxy resin having an oxazolidone-ring structure, (B) is a bisphenol bifunctional epoxy resin with a number-average molecular weight of at least 600 but no more than 1300, which does not have an oxazolidone-ring structure, (D) is a triblock copolymer, and (E) is a curing agent. A film made of the epoxy-resin composition, a prepreg and a fiber-reinforced plastic is also disclosed. The epoxy resin composition is capable of achieving both a processability of a prepreg at room temperature and a suppression of voids in the molded product. A fiber-reinforced plastic having excellent mechanical properties, especially excellent fracture toughness and heat tolerance, is also obtained by using the epoxy-resin composition.
Pigment compositions comprising anthocyanic vacuolar inclusions
The invention provides a pigment composition comprising anthocyanic vacuolar inclusions or AVIs from a plant, and an acceptable carrier. The invention also provides methods for coloring products with the pigment composition, and products comprising the pigment composition or AVIs.
