CONDITIONED MEDIUM AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
20220211768 · 2022-07-07 ·

The present invention is directed to a methods for the promotion of autophagy and/or proteasome activation in a subject by administering a cell culture conditioned media (CCM) composition. The present invention also provides methods for reducing symptoms of aging and treating diseases or conditions including Alzheimer's disease and lung fibrosis.

Conditioned medium and extracellular matrix compositions from cells cultured under hypoxic conditions

The present invention is directed to a method of producing compositions including embryonic proteins. The method includes culturing cells under hypoxic conditions on a biocompatible surface in vitro. The culturing method produces both soluble and non-soluble fractions, which may be used separately or in combination to obtain physiologically acceptable compositions useful in a variety of medical and therapeutic applications.

METHOD OF IDENTIFYING A BIOLOGICALLY-ACTIVE COMPOSITION FROM A BIOFILM

The subject invention provides materials and methods that effectively support innate immunity and/or disperse pathogenic biofilms using readily available, nontoxic, natural substances, while supporting restoration of normal microbiotic homeostasis. In one embodiment, the subject invention provides anti-biofilm compositions comprising one or more probiotic organisms, anti-microbial honey, and other ingredients such as prebiotic compounds, other hive products, green tea derivatives, other plant derivatives, and vitamin D3.

NOVEL REPROGRAMMING METHOD
20220112468 · 2022-04-14 ·

The invention relates to methods of reprogramming a somatic cell comprising culturing the somatic cell in the presence of one or more Yamanaka factors and further culturing said somatic cell in the absence of said one or more Yamanaka factors. The invention further relates to a reprogrammed somatic cell produced according to the methods as defined herein. Also provided are cosmetic methods, cosmetic compositions, a reprogrammed somatic cell and compositions for use in treatment or rejuvenation, as well as methods for screening age modulating agents, factors and/or cellular processes, comprising the methods and a reprogrammed somatic cell as defined herein.

Therapeutic serum obtained from co-cultured cells

A therapeutic serum suitable for inclusion in a cosmetic preparation may be produced by stressing a co-culture including proliferative cells. The co-culture of cells may be obtained by growing first culture to less than one-hundred percent confluence on a surface. After a monolayer of first culture is established, a second culture may be seeded onto at least one cell free area on the surface, the resulting co-culture grown to less than one-hundred percent confluence. Additional cultures may then be seeded onto cell free areas of the surface and established until a monolayer having the desired population of cells is obtained. The monolayer is then stressed to obtain a serum by conditioning a collection medium. The obtained serum may be combined with a suitable cosmetic base to provide a cosmetic preparation.

Topical silk compositions and methods of using

Methods of protecting skin of a mammal by application of silk-derived compositions useful for treating or preventing a wide variety of skin conditions. Silk solutions and silk mats are prepared and applied to the skin surface. The silk compositions may be self-adhesive or sutured to cover a wound or area of skin exposed to physical stresses and strains, thereby preventing a wound and/or promoting wound healing.

METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING SKIN AND HAIR DISORDERS
20220079990 · 2022-03-17 ·

Disclosed are treatment mesenchymal stem cell growth factor compositions and methods of their use to treat skin disorders, hair greying, baldness, and erectile dysfunction as well as their use in skin color/ethnic specific cosmetic and skin treatments. In some aspects, the treatment target SNPs specific to the hair color, skin color, skin type, hair type, race, ethnicity, and/or response to testosterone.
