Animal House Climate Control System and Method for Automatic Configuration of the System
A climate control system (20) for an animal house (10) is configured by determining a minimum ventilation curve for required minimum ventilation. A plurality of ventilation stages is created based on the minimum ventilation curve and the plurality of ventilation fans (23) in the climate control system, each stage providing a percentage of the required minimum ventilation. Creating the stages includes prioritizing the ventilation fans to create a selection hierarchy and determining a minimum stage ventilation and a maximum stage ventilation for each stage. Ventilation fans are selected following the hierarchy that provides the desired percentage of the minimum required ventilation. An increment between a maximum stage ventilation and a minimum stage ventilation for the next higher stage is defined, wherein the minimum capacity level is a function of the minimum capacity of the group of fans added to the next higher stage and the maximum capacity for the next higher stage is determined based on the increment.
LIVESTOCK-HOUSING VENTILATION SYSTEM
A livestock-housing ventilation system for delivering air to the interior of a livestock housing comprises: a first air inlet arranged to provide a stream of ambient air to the interior of the housing: an outlet for air to be exhausted out of the housing: a reversible fan configurable to operate in a first airflow direction, in which the fan directs a flow of air from the housing towards the outlet, or a second airflow direction, in which the fan directs air away from the outlet and into the housing: a recirculation damper arranged between the reversible fan and the outlet; and a controller for controlling the fan. A controller for a ventilation system and a livestock-housing are also provided.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLED HEATING AND VENTILATION OF LIVESTOCK STRUCTURES
Disclosed is a system and method for controlling the environment of a broiler poultry structure interior utilizing a transpired solar collector and controllable vents, fans and sensors. In an embodiment, the incident angle of the transpired collector is adjusted to provide additional heat or shade as needed. In an embodiment of the system the Environmental Optimization System (EOS) provides a system for the intelligent control and monitoring the broiler poultry livestock structure environment through the utilization of a variety of environmental and livestock behavior sensors, apparatus for controlling the thermal collection and existing interior heating/air conditioning/ventilation (HVAC) systems, and Internet or cloud based intelligent control and monitoring capabilities of the system. In various embodiments central sensor data aggregation is utilized to provide improved optimization control for individual structures based on data from multiple structures.
FAN FOR USE IN AGRICULTURE
A fan for use in agriculture which has a BLDC motor which allows for varying the speed of the fan to vary the airflow rate of the fan and vary the efficiency of the fan. A ventilation system for use in a livestock confinement building to maximize a rate of growth of the livestock. A process for maximizing the growth of livestock in a livestock confinement building by controlling the airflow in the livestock confinement building.
HYBRID HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM WITH ENERGY RECOVERY AND USE THEREOF
A ventilation apparatus for ventilating a building. The ventilation apparatus comprises a casing comprising: a cavity for housing a removable heat-exchange cartridge; a service door providing access to the cavity; a primary and secondary pathways fluidly connecting the inside of the building to the outside of the building, wherein the primary pathway and the secondary pathway cross the cavity along about perpendicular axes; a primary ventilator for forcing an airflow in the building through the primary pathway; and a controllable secondary ventilator for forcing a controllable airflow through the secondary pathway. The ventilation apparatus, when the casing houses the heat-exchange cartridge, has the primary ventilator forcing an inflow of air through the primary pathway, and (ii) the controllable second ventilator for controllably forcing either an outflow or an inflow of air through the secondary pathway. The ventilation apparatus, without heat-exchange cartridge, has only inflow(s) forced through the pathway(s).
Solar curtain
A solar air heating curtain for installation on the wall or eave of a building consisting of a sheet of flexible translucent or transparent film facing outward from the building and a sheet of flexible film facing inward toward the building with both films joined around the perimeter forming an interior air volume, with a flexible air permeable material, that is heated when exposed to solar energy, suspended between the films, and a fan to move air from outside; through an air inlet, through the interior air volume in close contact with the air permeable material, and through an air outlet.
HEATED ANIMAL SHELTER ASSEMBLY
A heated animal shelter assembly for providing heated shelter for an animal includes a house that may provide shelter for an animal. A heating unit is coupled to the house. The heating unit selectively heats the house. Thus, the house keeps the animal warm when the animal seeks shelter within the house. A pair of doors is provided and each of the doors is hingedly coupled to the house.
