20230072657 · 2023-03-09 ·

The disclosure discloses a washable flame retardant viscose fabric. The viscose fabric includes a flame retardant viscose fiber; and a method of preparing the viscose fiber includes the following steps: impregnation, squeezing, ageing, yellowing, addition before spinning, spinning, bundling, drafting, cutting off, first washing, desulfurization, second washing, pickling, third washing, application of oil bath, drying, and packaging. Before spinning, an aqueous dispersion of flame retardant, an aqueous dispersion of hyperbranched nanocellulose and a dispersant are uniformly added to a spinning glue using a pre-spinning injection system. During the production of the flame retardant viscose used, the aqueous dispersion of flame retardant, the aqueous dispersion of hyperbranched nanocellulose and the dispersant are introduced into the spinning glue by the pre-spinning injection system before spinning, so that the flame retardant has a high residual rate in the subsequent coagulation bath.

A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a unitary cushioning component comprising a plurality of scrap foam pieces configured as a plurality of different polyhedron shapes and a resin binder securing the scrap foam pieces to one another. The sole structure may comprise a midsole including an outer shell defining a central cavity. The cushioning component may be disposed in the central cavity as a core of the midsole. A method of manufacturing an article of footwear cutting the scrap foam body into pieces, mixing the pieces with a resin binder, and compression molding the mixed pieces and resin binder in a mold to form a cushioning component of a sole structure of the article of footwear.

Washable Carpet Tile
20230069126 · 2023-03-02 ·

This invention relates to tufted floorcovering articles that are washable in commercial, industrial, and/or residential washing machines. In particular, this invention relates to modular carpet tiles that are constructed in such a way as to withstand exposure to at least one wash cycle in an automatic washing machine. The carpet tiles are designed to be soiled, washed, and re-used, thereby providing ideal end-use applications such as entryway floorcovering articles. A further advantage includes the ability to print advertising logos on the carpet tiles and easily change out the advertising logos as desired. Both features of the carpet tile of the present invention are achievable, at least in part, because the surface of the tile that contacts the floor does not require any type of adhesive in order to use the carpet tile for its intended function.

A COAGULATION BATH SYSTEM FOR FIBER SPINNING

A coagulation bath system for fiber spinning, the system comprising a coagulation bath con figured to have coagulation liquid consisting of at least partly of water, and forming a water flow, which coagulation liquid is arranged to receive fibers, the water flow drives the movement of fibers through the coagulation bath.

A process for producing a flexible foam includes introducing a masterbatch material into an extruder, the masterbatch material consisting essentially of one or more thermoplastic polymers that are recycled, recyclable, biodegradable, and/or compostable, mixing an inert gas with the masterbatch material, extruding the masterbatch material through the extruder to form a polymer melt, passing the polymer melt through a die to form an extrudate, and allowing the extrudate to expand into a foam.

Electrospun nanofiber membrane and method for preparing electrospun nanofiber membrane

An electrospun nanofiber membrane and a method for preparing the electrospun nanofiber membrane are provided to solve problems of poor mechanical properties, short service life, poor uniformity and consistency of orientation of fibers and poor stability of fiber networks in current electrospun composite nanofiber materials. The electrospun nanofiber membrane is prepared by spinning solution through a high-voltage electrospinning device. The spinning solution is blending solution of regenerated silk fibroin:polyvinyl alcohol:polylactic acid with a mass ratio being 75-85:10-20:5 dissolved in a mixed solvent of trifluoroacetic acid and dichloromethane with a volume ratio being 7:3. The method establishes a reasonable mass ratio parameter of the regenerated silk fibroin, the polyvinyl alcohol and the polylactic acid to blending spinning to improve spinnability of silk fibroin, as well as prepare the electrospun composite nanofiber membrane with good mechanical properties.

VISION-GUIDED STITCHING SYSTEMS AND LOGIC FOR FABRICATING ENGINEERED TEXTILES WITH INTERSTITCHED SUPERPOSED WIRES
20230109805 · 2023-04-13 · ·

Presented are automated manufacturing systems for fabricating engineered textiles, footwear and apparel formed with such engineered textiles, methods for making such engineered textiles, and memory-stored, processor-executable instructions for operating such manufacturing systems. An automated manufacturing system constructs engineered textiles from workpieces composed of superposed, unwoven wires. The system includes a movable end effector bearing a stitching head and an image capture device. The stitching head has a thread feeder and sewing needle to generate stitches. The image capture device captures images of the workpiece and outputs data indicative thereof. A system controller receives this image capture device data and locates, from the captured image of the workpiece, gaps defined between quadrangles of the superposed wires. The controller commands the end effector to sequentially move the stitching head and thereby align the sewing needle with the gaps, and commands the stitching head to insert a succession of stitches within these gaps.
