PLASTIC WASTE SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present application overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art by providing a system for proper life-cycle management of plastic products and the plastic waste that plastic products produce.
CARBON FOOTPRINT TRACKER
In an approach to carbon footprint tracking, responsive to determining that a transaction to purchase an item for a user is detected by a computer, a total carbon emissions for the original item is calculated. One or more alternatives to the original item are located. The total carbon emissions for each alternative to the original item is calculated. The user is notified of the total carbon emissions for the original item and the total carbon emissions for each alternative to the original item where the carbon emissions are lower for the alternative item than for the original item. An indication of a final item chosen by the user is received, where the final item is either the original item or one of the alternative items.
MACHINE LEARNING BASED PROCUREMENT AS A SERVICE
As an example, a software application executing on a computing device of a channel partner may access an application programming interface (API) hosted by a server to access a manufacturer's data. The computing device may provide criteria to the API to identify a subset of a set of configurations. The computing device may be used to select a particular configuration in the subset and to perform one or more modifications to the particular configuration to create a modified configuration. The computing device may use the API to access a verification module to verify whether the modified configuration can be built. If the modified configuration is unbuildable, the computing device may be used to make additional modifications to the particular configuration until the modified configuration is verified as buildable. The channel partner may place an order for a particular quantity of the modified configuration.
POWER TRADING SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT APPARATUS
The present invention provides a power trading system that executes power trading between a plurality of apparatuses, wherein at least one apparatus of the plurality of apparatuses includes a management unit configured to manage electric energy of a battery, and the management unit manages the electric energy of the battery by discrimination between electric energy derived from exhaustible energy and electric energy derived from renewable energy.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING CARBON OFFSETS
Systems and methods for providing carbon offsets are described, including monitoring a consumer's transactions, determining the full life cycle of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the consumer's transactions, and providing the consumer with carbon offsets to compensate for the consumer's carbon footprint.
Waste container monitoring system
A container having a compactor and bin for waste is disclosed permitting on-premises and remote monitoring of the system and collection is disclosed. The system can also detect non-complaint materials placed therein and act thereon. Methods are further disclosed for inventorying identification tags for tracking packages, merchandise and tags disposed of.
SMART BUILDING MANAGER
A building manager includes a communications interface configured to receive information from a smart energy grid. The building manager further includes an integrated control layer configured to receive inputs from and to provide outputs to a plurality of building subsystems. The integrated control layer includes a plurality of control algorithm modules configured to process the inputs and to determine the outputs. The building manager further includes a fault detection and diagnostics layer configured to use statistical analysis on the inputs received from the integrated control layer to detect and diagnose faults. The building manager yet further includes a demand response layer configured to process the information received from the smart energy grid to determine adjustments to the plurality of control algorithms of the integrated control layer.
CUSTOMIZABLE DATA PROCESSING AND NOTIFICATION SYSTEM FOR EQUIPMENT SENSOR MONITORING AND ALERT NOTIFICATIONS
A system for receiving and processing data in real time on the cloud to trigger notifications and work procedures. The data received is based on pattern matching and anomaly detection streamed by sensors distributed in different networks and/or geographic locations. This system allows users to simplify the analysis, identification of and response to patterns in data that may indicate the near occurrence of an event that could negatively affect the user's assets, machinery, equipment and/or people. With this system, such damaging incidents may be prevented or minimized by taking early action via immediate communication mechanisms with key users and execution of tasks by autonomous equipment and personnel in the field.
Methods, Device, Block Chain Node, Computer-readable Media and System for Carbon Recording and Trading based on Block Chain
Methods, devices, block chain nodes, computer readable media and a system for carbon recording and trading based on a block chain. A method for carbon recording and trading based on a block chain includes: obtaining data related to carbon behaviors of a plurality of objects; converting the data related to the carbon behaviors of the plurality of objects to corresponding carbon data of the plurality of objects, respectively; transmitting the carbon data to a block chain platform for storage; performing, based on the carbon data, a carbon trading between two objects in the plurality of objects or one object in the plurality of objects and a third party object not belonging to the plurality of objects; and distributing the carbon trading to the block chain platform as a block chain transaction.
Method for petroleum recovery and carbon dioxide sequestration in residual oil zones
A method for the economic assessment of residual oil zones (“ROZ”), support for the engineering of the design of CO.sub.2 enhanced oil recovery (“EOR”) systems associated with production of petroleum from ROZ, support of EOR operations, and subsequent management and monitoring of CO.sub.2 sequestered in ROZ is disclosed. This efficient identification and assessment of ROZs significantly increases the geographic footprint and target locations into which CO.sub.2 can be injected and ultimately utilized and permanently sequestered in a commercial fashion generating value to partially offset the parasitic costs associated with the capture of anthropogenic CO.sub.2. Microbial self limitation (MSL) conditions of an ROZ are exploited for the assessment and management purposes of the ROZ.
