METHOD OF CALCULATING A CARBON CREDIT
A method of calculating a carbon credit includes performing, for each segment of a route, a segmental carbon-emission calculation procedure to calculate a segmental carbon emission amount, calculating a one-trip carbon emission amount for this round of taking the route by adding up the segmental carbon emission amounts of all segments, calculating a one-trip emission comparison amount based on the one-trip carbon emission amount and a carbon emission average amount, adding the one-trip emission comparison amount to a cumulative comparison carbon credit, outputting the cumulative comparison carbon credit thus updated, and updating the carbon emission average amount.

An aspect of an information processing apparatus according to this invention includes an acquisition unit that acquires management information including power information related to one or more types of electric power used in a manufacturing process of a product or component among a plurality of types of electric power of different power generating systems, a calculation unit that calculates a first carbon dioxide emission amount emitted through manufacturing of the product or component based on the power information included in the management information, and an output unit that outputs information related to the first carbon dioxide emission amount.
SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING A CARBON FOOTPRINT OF A COMPUTING INFRASTRUCTURE IN REAL TIME
A device for determining a carbon footprint of a computing infrastructure in real time, including a collector that collect equipment data that includes, for each computing equipment, a measurement of its energy consumption and its time-stamped location, a receiver that received, for each site, a carbon intensity value provided by an electricity supplier of the each site, and a consolidator that associated a carbon intensity value of the each site with each computing equipment according to the time-stamped location of the computing equipment. The consolidator calculates the carbon footprint of each computing equipment from the carbon intensity value that is associated and the energy consumption that is measured.
Waste Container Monitoring System
A container having a compactor and bin for waste is disclosed permitting on-premises and remote monitoring of the system and collection is disclosed. The system can also detect non-complaint materials placed therein and act thereon. Methods are further disclosed for inventorying identification tags for tracking packages, merchandise and tags disposed of.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACTIVELY MANAGING ELECTRIC POWER OVER AN ELECTRIC POWER GRID
Systems and methods for managing power supplied over an electric power grid by an electric utility and/or other market participants to multiple power consuming devices, each of which having a Power Supply Value (PSV) associated with its energy consumption and/or reduction in consumption. Power flow to the power consuming devices is selectively enabled and disabled, or power-reduced thereto, by one or more controllable devices controlled by the client device. Power control messages from a controlling server indicate amounts of electric power to be reduced and an identification of at least one controllable device to be instructed to disable or reduce a flow of electric power to one or more associated power consuming devices.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING CARBON DIOXIDE SUPPLIES AND SUPERCRITICAL TURBINES USING MACHINE LEARNING
A method may include obtaining reservoir data for a geological region of interest. The method may further include obtaining turbine data regarding a supercritical carbon dioxide power (sCO2) turbine. The method may further include obtaining carbon emission data for a well coupled to the geological region of interest. The method may further include determining predicted production data and predicted carbon emission data using a machine-learning model, the reservoir data, the turbine data, and the carbon emission data. The method may further include transmitting a command to a control system based on the predicted production data and the predicted carbon emission data. The command may adjusts an amount of carbon dioxide that is distributed to an injection well and the sCO.sub.2 turbine.
