Hybrid powertrain system and method
A hybrid powertrain system and method includes a prime mover driving a generator/motor to produce an AC power output. The AC power output is applied to a rectifier which is controlled to transform the applied AC power to DC power to supply a DC Power bus at a selected voltage and current. An energy storage device is also connected to the DC power bus and the current flow between the energy storage device and the DC power bus is monitored and compared to preselected values and the results of that comparison are used to alter the operation of the rectifier to increase or decrease, as needed, the current provided to the DC power bus as electrical loads on the DC power bus change.
HYBRID SYSTEMS FOR DRONES AND OTHER MODES OF TRANSPORT
A hybrid system for drones and other modes of transport. A combustion engine provides range and/or lifting capacity for drones while electric motors/generators provide both control and maneuverability. One or more combustion engines, in conjunction with one or more electric motors/generators form a propulsion system whereby each is connected to and drives its own driving pinion in one or more planetary gear sets, and provide continuously variable transmission for driving propellers or driveshafts. The combustion engine may be connected directly to one of the planetary gear's driving pinions, or can drive one of the planetary gear's driving pinions. If the propellers are only driven by either a combustion engine, or an electric motor/generator, the other engine/motor will be kept at rest by a braking device for a combustion engine or a braking device for an electric motor/generator.
Electromagnetic shield member and wire harness
An electromagnetic shield member that includes a pressing mechanism with: a cylinder provided on one of a bottom wall of the groove and an opposing wall of the cover opposing the bottom wall of the groove; a piston provided so as to be capable of reciprocal movement in the cylinder; a spring that is provided in the cylinder, and is configured to bias the piston toward one end of the cylinder; and a piston rod that is coupled to the piston, protrudes from the one end of the cylinder, and has a leading end configured to press the electrical wire.
Vehicle drive apparatus
A vehicle drive apparatus includes an internal combustion engine, an electric-power-generating-motor gear train, a drive gear, a driven gear, a differential, a low clutch and a high clutch. The electric-power-generating-motor gear train and the driven gear are arranged on a first plane. The drive gear, the driven gear, and the differential are arranged on a second plane. The low clutch and the high clutch are arranged on a third plane.
Method and Control Unit for Operating a Hybrid Vehicle
A method for operating a hybrid vehicle includes, determining a shift element to be utilized for decoupling of slip and a decoupling differential speed depending on whether a starting process is carried out, depending on whether the transmission is transferred from a torque-transmitting state into a non-torque-transmitting state or from a non-torque-transmitting state into a torque-transmitting state, depending on whether a gear ratio change is carried out, and depending on whether the hybrid vehicle includes a hydrodynamic starting component.
Electrified military vehicle
An energy storage system for a military vehicle includes a lower support, a battery supported on the lower support, a bracket coupled to the battery, and an upper isolator mount coupled between the bracket and a wall. The upper isolator mount is configured to provide front-to-back vibration isolation of the battery relative to the wall.
Hybrid Powertrain for Vehicle
An embodiment hybrid powertrain for a vehicle includes a first input shaft configured to be interlocked with an engine, a second input shaft configured to be interlocked with a first motor and to be parallel to the first input shaft, a third input shaft configured to be interlocked with a second motor and to be parallel to the second input shaft, an output shaft mounted parallel to the third input shaft, a first selective mesh device configured to transmit power from the second input shaft to the output shaft at multiple different gear ratios, a second selective mesh device configured to transmit the power from the third input shaft to the output shaft at the multiple different gear ratios, and a third selective mesh device configured to transmit the power from the first input shaft to the second input shaft or the third input shaft.
HYBRID VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a drive motor selectively operated as a generator to generate electrical energy; a battery charged with the electrical energy generated in the drive motor; a navigation device determining a travelling path of the hybrid vehicle from a departure of the hybrid vehicle to a destination of the hybrid vehicle and an expected vehicle speed of the travelling path; and a controller which divides an entire travelling path of the hybrid vehicle expected by the navigation device into one or more travelling sections based on the travelling information, determines an average vehicle speed of each travelling section, an average vehicle speed of the entire travelling path, and travelling energy of the vehicle in each travelling section, determines an expected State Of Charge (SOC) profile of the battery based on the travelling energy, and determines a charge mode of the battery based on the average vehicle speed and an initial SOC value of the expected SOC profile.
Power transmission system for hybrid vehicle
To provide a drive system for a hybrid vehicle capable of suppressing energy loss by slip control at a start of an internal combustion engine during electric vehicle (EV) travel, a power transmission system for the hybrid vehicle is configured to couple an internal combustion engine, an electric motor, and a transmission by planetary gear mechanisms, has a brake that engages and disengages the internal combustion engine with and from a case, engages the brake during EV travel in which only the electric motor is used as a drive source, and is configured to start the internal combustion engine by disengaging the brake at the time of switching from the EV travel to hybrid vehicle (HEV) travel in which the internal combustion engine and the electric motor are used as drive sources.
CONTROLLER FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE, CONTROL METHOD FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE, AND MEMORY MEDIUM
A torque reducing process reduces torque of a multiphase rotating electric machine when a magnitude of current in a particular phase of the rotating electric machine remains greater than or equal to a given value. A deactivating process deactivates combustion control in a deactivated cylinder and continues combustion control in the remaining cylinders. A fluctuation torque applying process cyclically fluctuates the torque of the rotating electric machine in a cycle that is an integral multiple of a compression top dead center occurrence cycle when the deactivating process is being executed. A prohibiting process prohibits execution of the deactivating process in a predetermined situation where a rotation speed of a rotary shaft of the rotating electric machine is less than or equal to a given speed.
