Energy storage system
The energy storage system includes battery cells, a subrack, a backplane, and a battery management system BMS. The subrack reserves a plurality of battery cell slots, the battery cells are connected to the backplane through the battery cell slots. The backplane is installed in the subrack, a first power terminal is reserved at a position corresponding to the battery cell slot on the backplane, and a plug-in power terminal is formed by a second power terminal of the battery cell together with the first power terminal. A power circuit, a sampling circuit, and an equalizer circuit are integrated into the backplane, and the power circuit, the sampling circuit, and the equalizer circuit are connected after the second power terminal is plugged and docked with the first power terminal. The BMS is connected to the backplane for managing the energy storage system.
Coil arrangement and wireless power transfer system comprising a coil arrangement
A coil arrangement with reduced core losses is provided. The coil arrangement has a first coil and a second coil and a ferrite layer below the coils. A perpendicular recess in the ferrite layer is provided to reduce magnetic flux density in a center conduction path.
Vehicle lighting system
A vehicle lighting system includes a light assembly and an electronic controller. The light assembly includes one or more lights configured to illuminate an external area that is in a vicinity of the vehicle. The electronic controller is programmed to receive a battery status signal from a battery of the vehicle. The electronic controller is further programmed to control the light assembly to illuminate the one or more lights to display a status of the battery when the vehicle is in a predetermined condition. The predetermined condition is at least one of a condition in which a remote electronic device is within a vicinity of the vehicle, a condition in which the vehicle has transitioned from a locked state to an unlocked state, and a condition in which the vehicle is about to be transitioned from the locked state to the unlocked state.

An energy storage device includes a current collector (negative electrode current collector), electrode body that includes a body portion and a tab projecting from the body portion, and a leading plate (negative electrode leading plate) that connects the current collector and the tab. In the leading plate, first and second plates and facing each other are continuously connected at end portions thereof in the first plate, the current collector is fixed to a first principal surface on the opposite side to the second plate. In the second plate, the tab is fixed to a second principal surface on the opposite side to the first plate.

When a process of returning a vehicle is performed, a fee setting device identifies a zone where the vehicle is returned, and calculates the identified zone's zone SOC. The fee setting device determines whether a discount for leveling is applicable. The fee setting device compares a zone SOC of a zone where a user rented a vehicle and a zone SOC of a zone where the user returned the vehicle. When the zone SOC of the zone where the user rented the vehicle is larger than the zone SOC of the zone where the user returned the vehicle, the discount for leveling is applied.

The information calculation system calculates first degradation states of a plurality of battery constituent elements of the secondary battery, based on the battery load history acquired and a plurality of degradation factors related to each of the battery constituent elements. The information calculation system calculates future second degradation states of the plurality of battery constituent elements of the secondary battery when the secondary battery is used in the future application, based on the first degradation states related to the battery constituent elements calculated, the estimated load information acquired, and the plurality of degradation factors related to the battery constituent elements.
Control apparatus for vehicle cooling apparatus
A control apparatus for a vehicle cooling apparatus that includes: a PCU cooling unit for cooling a power control unit controlling an electric motor; a T/A cooling unit for cooling a drive-force transmitting apparatus including the electric motor; and a heat exchanger for transferring heat between the PCU cooling unit and the T/A cooling unit. The T/A cooling unit includes a first pump for circulating a refrigerant of the T/A cooling unit, while the PCU cooling unit includes a second pump for circulating a refrigerant of the PCU cooling unit. The control apparatus includes a controlling portion configured to cause the first pump to be driven when a temperature of the power control unit is higher than a threshold temperature value and a temperature of the refrigerant of the PCU cooling unit is higher than a temperature of the refrigerant of the T/A cooling unit.
Bicycle battery storage system
A bicycle battery system includes a battery tray that mounts within a cavity formed by an opening in a bicycle tube. The battery tray includes a latch mechanism, a first base portion that mounts to the latch mechanism, and a second base portion that mounts to the first base portion. The first base portion includes a cup that is sized to mate with an interior of the bicycle tube. The system also includes a battery that is sized to fit within the battery tray. A first end of the battery includes a protrusion that is sized to fit within the cup of the first base portion, and a second end of the battery includes a secondary latch to secure the second end to the battery tray. The system further includes a battery cover plate mounted to the battery.
