CONTROL APPARATUS FOR HYBRID VEHICLE, HYBRID VEHICLE, AND CONTROL METHOD FOR HYBRID VEHICLE

An electronic control unit executes control such that a ratio of driving force output from a second motor in requested driving force when a hybrid vehicle travels in a charge depleting mode becomes larger than the ratio when the hybrid vehicle travels in a charge sustaining mode switched from the charge depleting mode by a mode selector switch. As a result, it becomes possible to suppress overheating of the second motor while cooling a first motor. When the mode selector switch is operated to select the charge depleting mode again, the second motor has already been cooled, so that performance of the second motor can sufficiently be demonstrated without a driving restriction due to overheating being imposed thereon. And, it becomes possible to suppress overheating of the second motor while achieving enhanced energy efficiency of the vehicle.

HYBRID VEHICLE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR HYBRID VEHICLE

An electronic control unit sets a drivability target engine speed, sets upper limit engine power on the basis of the drivability target engine speed, and sets upper limit drive power by dividing the upper limit engine power by a rotational speed of a driveshaft. Then, the electronic control unit compares accelerator requested drive power with the upper limit drive power, sets target engine power such that lower one of the accelerator requested drive power and the upper limit drive power is output to the driveshaft, and controls an engine, a first motor, and a second motor such that the target engine power is output from the engine. In this way, a driver can receive further favorable drive feeling.

In a method for displaying a plurality of two-dimensional, ordered objects on a display area, a user-interface device generates graphics data that control the display area such that a subset of the objects is displayed in perspective, a first object of this subset being displayed in perspective in the foreground, and in response to an input with the aid of an input device, an arithmetic logic unit of the user-interface device alters the graphics data such that a different, second object is displayed in perspective in the foreground. The graphical objects are displayed in perspective, positioned one behind the other in a stack, the object displayed in the foreground forming the front face of the stack, and in response to the input, the graphics data are altered such that the first object and the objects disposed between the first and second object in the stack are moved in a direction perpendicular to the stack axis and are hidden, or the objects ordered between the first and second object, and the second object are made visible and are moved in a direction perpendicular to the stack axis until the second object is displayed in perspective in the foreground. An associated device is adapted for carrying out the method, and a vehicle includes such a device.

There is provided a two-wheeled vehicle overturn prevention method, wherein maximum allowable lean angles corresponding to vehicle body velocities are preset in relation to lean angles of a vehicle body, and in a case where an actual lean angle of the vehicle body exceeds a maximum allowable lean angle corresponding to an actual vehicle body velocity of the vehicle body or in a case where an estimated lean angle of the vehicle body after a predetermined amount of time exceeds or looks to exceed a maximum allowable lean angle corresponding to an estimated vehicle body velocity, the two-wheeled vehicle overturn prevention method is adapted to accelerate the vehicle body or keep the vehicle body from decelerating.

Travelable distance calculation apparatus

A travelable distance calculation apparatus comprises: an update device 72 for recording a measured remaining fuel amount value, and also sequentially updating the recorded value; a calculation device 73 for calculating a travelable distance based on the remaining capacity of a battery and the recorded value; and a display device 80 for displaying at least the travelable distance. During a period when an engine 13 is stopped, the update device 72 holds, as the recorded value, a value recorded during operation of the engine 13.

Hybrid vehicle and downshifting strategy in a hybrid vehicle

A vehicle includes an engine, an electric machine, an engine disconnect clutch, and a transmission input configured to transmit power from the engine and electric machine to a transmission. The vehicle also includes a controller program to close the disconnect clutch and start the engine before downshifting in response to an anticipated transmission downshift in which a predicted speed of the transmission input after the downshift will be outside a predetermined speed range or a torque capacity of the electric machine will be less than a predicted required torque after the downshift.

VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD AND VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE

A vehicle control device controls a vehicle including a drive motor connected to a rotation shaft of wheels, a battery that supplies electricity to the drive motor, and an internal combustion engine connected to the drive motor. The vehicle is equipped with, as traveling modes, a normal mode, and an eco-mode having a larger regenerative braking force than the normal mode obtained such that rotational energy of the wheels is converted into electrical energy. A controller stops the internal combustion engine and switches from the normal mode to the eco-mode when detecting at least an abnormality in the internal combustion engine during traveling of the vehicle.

A vehicle includes front-wheels each of which is driven by a front-wheel driving motor having a first motor characteristic and a speed reducer, and rear wheels each of which is driven by a rear-wheel driving motor having a second motor characteristic. An ECU calculates a total target wheel torque of all the wheels, and calculates target wheel torques for the respective front wheels and the respective rear wheels based on the total target wheel torque, the first motor characteristic, the second motor characteristic, and a characteristic of the speed reducer. The ECU calculates a target motor torque for the front-wheel driving motor based on a speed reduction ratio of the speed reducer and the target wheel torque for each front wheel, and calculates a target motor torque for the rear-wheel driving motor based on the target wheel torque for each rear wheel.

Multi-vehicle load delivery management systems and methods

Disclosed are various techniques to optimize load delivery management of multiple vehicles along route. The optimization can involve evaluating vehicle-in-front information along with look ahead data to determine a recommended speed target and/or idle stop times and durations. The optimization can also involve determining bottleneck conditions from one or more vehicles and/or one or more infrastructure conditions and providing one or more recommended actions in response thereto.
