A security strategy providing apparatus of a vehicle includes a communication circuit, a power controller, and at least one control circuit electrically connected to the communication circuit and the power controller. The at least one control circuit is configured to detect a connection of an external apparatus or an inflow of external data, and to block at least part of a function provided by the vehicle, at least part of power supplied by the power controller, or the at least part of the function and the at least part of the power, based on a detection result of the connection of the external apparatus or the inflow of the external data.
Charging connector control system and method
A charging connector control system may include a charging control unit of a charging equipment for supplying a control signal for charging; and a vehicle control unit for changing a sensing control signal to a normal control signal by executing a variable resistor control according to whether the sensing control signal, which is generated by sensing the control signal transmitted through a charging connector for connecting the charging equipment and a vehicle, is normal.
Information processing apparatus, motor-driven movable body, and discharge control method
There is provided an information processing apparatus including a travelable information display unit that displays before a discharge, regarding motor-driven movable bodies of a discharge source and a discharge destination driven by using electric power of batteries, information about places to which the motor-driven movable body of the discharge source can move using electric power of the battery left after the discharge by assuming, when information about a discharge amount discharged from the battery of the motor-driven movable body of the discharge source toward the motor-driven movable body of the discharge destination that receives power supply is input, a case in which the discharge amount is discharged from the battery.
Cold ambient battery cooling utilizing the climate cabin heating system
A cold ambient battery chilling mode of an electric vehicle may be implemented if the vehicle battery is being charged when the ambient air temperature is low and a temperature of the battery is elevated. During cold ambient charging, coolant flows through a heater core and through a battery heat exchanger. Cold ambient air may be utilized to cool the coolant flowing through the heater core, and coolant from the heater core flows through the battery heat exchanger and cools the battery during charging. A battery chiller may be deactivated when the cold ambient battery chilling mode is activated to reduce energy consumption.
Robotic work tool system and a charging connector arrangement for a robotic work tool system
A robotic work tool system, comprising a charging station and a robotic work tool, said robotic work tool comprising two charging connectors arranged on an upper side of the robotic work tool and said charging station comprising two charging connectors and a supporting structure arranged to carry said charging connectors and to extend over and above said robotic work tool as the robotic work tool enters the charging station for establishing electrical contact between the charging connectors of the robotic work tool and the charging connectors of the charging station from above, wherein said supporting structure is arranged to allow the robotic work tool exit the charging station by driving through the charging station without reversing.
Method and apparatus to manage electric vehicle charging stations and parking spaces
Electric vehicle charging stations are in high demand, as the number of electric vehicles on the road is rising. A novel method and apparatus invention effectively manages the charging station parking space by detecting and taking action on ineligible vehicles that are parked for a long time without charging so that others can use the spot. The invention employs multiple ultrasonic sensors to see if the parking space is occupied or not, and a current sensor to see if the parked vehicle is drawing current through the charging cable or not. Depending on those two outcomes, the invention adopts a monitoring process using audio-visual alarm devices and a communication device to notify parking authorities to take action if the parked vehicle is deemed ineligible. The invention also explains the calibration process of ultrasonic sensors for detecting the presence or absence of a vehicle in the parking space.
High voltage battery bypass for electric vehicle fleet
A system for powering an electric vehicle (EV) includes a battery, a power distribution module, and a battery bypass module. The power distribution module receives power from a charging station, draws power from the battery in a discharging mode, distributes power from the charging station to the battery in a charging mode, and distributes power to a plurality of subsystems of the EV. The battery bypass module is coupled to the battery and the power distribution module. When the battery bypass module is engaged in a charging bypass mode, power distributed by the power distribution module bypasses the battery and is distributed to at least a subset of the plurality of subsystems of the EV.
Kerbside vehicle charger
A charging apparatus for a vehicle where a terminal (1, FIG. 2) is connected to at least one kerbside power/data unit (9) to provide a power (4) and a data connection (5) to the power/data unit (9), the power/data unit (9) being connected to a nearby vehicle (17) to provide power to charge the vehicle (17) and receive data from the vehicle (17). The fact that the kerbside power/data unit (9) can charge a vehicle (17) using power supplied from a terminal (1, FIG. 2) and can transmit data from the vehicle (17) to the terminal (1, FIG. 2) provides the power and data requirements for connected autonomous vehicles at a kerbside location.
Device and computer program product for route planning for a vehicle
A method determines an anticipated occupation of charging points and a charging strategy for a specified route. The method provides traffic data which is representative for the current traffic density on the route specified. An anticipated occupation of charging points along the specified route can be determined on the basis of the traffic data. A charging strategy can be determined on the basis of the traffic data and the determined anticipated occupation of charging points. The provision of information regarding a charging strategy to a driver allows the time required for the specified route to be reduced.
Rotorcraft and method of controlling rotorcraft
According to one implementation, a rotorcraft includes a first rotorcraft and at least one second rotorcraft. The first rotorcraft has a first main rotor and a first tail rotor. The at least one second rotorcraft has a second main rotor and a second tail rotor. The at least one second rotorcraft are attachable and detachable to and from the first rotorcraft. Further, according to one implementation, a method of controlling the above-mentioned rotorcraft includes: flying the first rotorcraft, to which the at least one second rotorcraft has been attached, to a destination; and separating the at least one second rotorcraft from the first rotorcraft at the destination.
