CHEWABLE FORMULATIONS
Soft chewable dosage forms including an active ingredient, and a carbonate compound as a disintegrant.
TARGETED RELEASE RIFAXIMIN COMPOSITIONS
Provided herein are GI specific rifaximin release compositions which can be formulated for targeted delivery of rifaximin to one or more portions of the GI tract. Methods of treating diseases and disorders with the disclosed compositions are also provided.
PLASMA-DERIVED NANOPARTICLES
This application relates to nanoparticles, including nanoparticles derived from a plasma, and their use in the formation of conjugates. The nanoparticles can be stably conjugated to a wide variety of second species, forming conjugates which can be used, for example, in therapeutic, diagnostic and experimental methods.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR THE TREATMENT AND PROPHYLAXIS OF SURGICAL SITE INFECTIONS
The present invention provides methods for preventing, inhibiting or treating a surgical site infection associated with a surgical operation comprising the step of applying to the surgical site a biocompatible, biodegradable substrate being impregnated and/or having its surface coated fully or partially with a matrix composition which provides local controlled and prolonged release of at least one pharmaceutically active agent at the surgical site.
MULTIPARTICULATE DOSAGE FORMS COMPRISING DEUTETRABENAZINE
Provided herein are controlled release multiparticulate dosage forms containing deutetrabenazine for use in the treatment of, e.g., hyperkinetic movement disorders. When orally administered to a subject on a once-daily basis, the dosage forms provide a favorable pharmacokinetic profile.
Stable Formulations of Linaclotide
The present invention relates to stable pharmaceutical compositions comprising linaclotide or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, as well as to various methods and processes for the preparation and use of the compositions.
CONJUGATES OF MONTELUKAST AND PEPTIDES
There is provided a peptide-containing compound that comprises a peptide component which is an amino acid sequence of from 2 to 45 (e.g. from 6 to 15) amino acids, which peptide component is covalently bonded to one or more compounds of the formula I:
##STR00001##
wherein: R.sup.1 is selected from the group consisting of —C(CH.sub.3).sub.2OH, —COCH.sub.3, —C(CH.sub.3)═CH.sub.2 and —C(CH.sub.3).sub.2H; and n is 0, 1 or 2, as well as regioisomers, stereoisomers, and pharmaceutically- or cosmetically-acceptable salts of said peptide-containing compound. The compound of formula I is preferably montelukast, montelukast styrene or hydrogenated montelukast styrene. The peptide-containing compound is particularly useful in the treatment of conditions characterised by inflammation, including wounds, hemorrhoids, burns, psoriasis, acne, atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, inflammatory bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis). Compounds of the invention are also useful in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Preparation of solid dosage forms comprising antibodies by solution/suspension layering
The present invention relates to a method for preparing immediate and sustained release solid dosage forms, comprising antibodies and functional fragments thereof, by solution/suspension layering, optionally coated with a delayed release coating; the solid dosage forms prepared by the method; and the use of the solid dosage forms in the topical treatment in the gastrointestinal tract of a patient.
Modified release gamma-hydroxybutyrate formulations having improved pharmacokinetics
Modified release formulations of gamma-hydroxybutyrate having improved dissolution and pharmacokinetic properties are provided, and therapeutic uses thereof.
MODIFIED RELEASE GAMMA-HYDROXYBUTYRATE FORMULATIONS HAVING IMPROVED PHARMACOKINETICS
Modified release formulations of gamma-hydroxybutyrate having improved dissolution and pharmacokinetic properties are provided, and therapeutic uses thereof.
