PH-dependent controlled release pharmaceutical opioid composition with resistance against the influence of ethanol
The invention relates to a pH-dependent controlled release pharmaceutical composition, comprising a core, and an opioid, wherein the core is coated at least by one coating layer, controlling the release of the pharmaceutical composition, wherein the coating layer comprises a polymer mixture of i) 40-95% by weight, based on dry weight of the polymer mixture, of at least one water insoluble essentially neutral vinyl polymer, and ii) 5-60% by weight, based on dry weight of the polymer mixture, of at least one anionic polymer or copolymer, which is insoluble in a buffered medium below pH 4.0 and soluble at least in the range from pH 7.0 to pH 8.0, characterized in that the coating layer further comprises 110 to 250% by weight of a non-porous inert lubricant, 1 to 35% by weight of a neutral cellulosic compound and 1 to 25% by weight of an emulsifier, each calculated on dry weight of the polymer mixture.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS PARTICULARLY FOR TREATMENT OF ATTENTION DEFICIT DISORDER
There is described, inter alia, a coated bead comprising: (a) a granule; (b) a first layer coated over the granule, the first layer comprising a first amount of an active pharmaceutical ingredient comprising a central nervous system stimulant; and (c) a second layer coated over the first layer, the second layer being present in an amount sufficient to substantially delay release of the active pharmaceutical ingredient in the first layer until after the coated bead reaches a distal intestine portion of a subject to whom the coated bead is administered; and (d) the third layer coated over the second layer, the third layer comprising a second amount of the active pharmaceutical ingredient, the third layer being configured to permit substantially immediate release of the active pharmaceutical ingredient comprised therein. Embodiments related to a solid oral pharmaceutical composition are also described.
PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION HAVING EXCELLENT DISSOLUTION PROPERTIES, CONTAINING ESOMEPRAZOLE AND SODIUM BICARBONATE
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation comprising omeprazole, an enantiomer thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and sodium bicarbonate, and a method for preparing the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to a pharmaceutical preparation in which sodium bicarbonate is first disintegrated so as to raise pH, and then omeprazole is dissolved such that the release properties of an active ingredient are improved, and thus the dissolution pattern and bioavailability of a drug can be enhanced.
PARP INHIBITOR PELLET PREPARATION AND PREPARATION PROCESS THEREFOR
The present invention relates to a PARP inhibitor pellet composition and a preparation process therefor. The pellet composition comprises a pellet and an optional additional excipient, with the pellet comprising (1) a pellet core; (2) a drug-containing layer and (3) an optional protective layer, wherein the drug-containing layer contains (a) an active ingredient and (b) a binder; when the composition comprises the protective layer, the protective layer contains (c) a coating material; and the active ingredient is (R)-2-fluoro-10a-methyl-7,8,9,10,10a,11-hexahydro-5,6,7a,11-tetraazacyclohepta[def]cyclopenta[a]fluoren-4(5H)-one, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof and a hydrate thereof.
Immediate release abuse-deterrent granulated dosage forms
Described are immediate release oral dosage forms that contain abuse-deterrent features. In particular, the disclosed dosage forms provide deterrence of abuse by ingestion of multiple individual doses. In addition, the disclosed dosage forms provide protection from overdose in the event of accidental or intentional ingestion of multiple individual doses.
STABLE GRANULES WITH LOW INTERNAL WATER ACTIVITY
Described are stable, durable granules with active agents, which have consistently low internal water activity, and methods for making such granules. The granules are particularly suitable for inclusion in steam treatment processes, including pelleting and tableting processes and steam processing of feed, without appreciable loss of active agent activity. The granules can be manufactured using humid processing air without compromising the stability of the active agents
Methods of treating urea cycle disorders and maple syrup urine disease
The present invention provides methods for the treatment of urea cycle disorders and Maple Syrup Urine Disease.
Duloxetine sprinkles
The present invention relates in part a to multiparticulate sprinkle dosage form comprising duloxetine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, having higher acid resistance as compared to commercially available delayed release formulations. It further relates to various methods of administering the said multiparticulate sprinkle dosage forms.
Compositions of midodrine and methods of using the same
This disclosure provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising midodrine, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, desglymidodrine, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or a combination therefore that can be administered to a human subject in need thereof in a supine position. The disclosure also provides pharmaceutical compositions which can be administered once-a-day. This disclosure further provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising an extended release composition and providing a delayed release period between about 30 min to about 12 hours.
Oral Dosage Forms of Ketamine
The present invention relates to an oral dosage form for administration of ketamine and a method of preparing an oral dosage form for administration of ketamine, preferably once or twice a day.
