A special-shaped folding umbrella which includes a plurality of 3-fold ribs and a plurality of 4-fold ribs is revealed. When the umbrella is closed, a height of a first connecting point of the 3-fold rib and that of a first connecting point of the 4-fold rib are quite similar (almost the same). A height of a sixth connecting point of the 3-fold rib is at similar to that of a seventh connecting point of the 4-fold rib. A third connecting point of the 3-fold rib and a fourth connecting point of the 4-fold rib are at similar height and so are a fourth connecting point of the 3-fold rib and a fifth connecting point of the 4-fold rib. A tip of the 3-fold rib and a tip of the 4-fold rib are maintained at similar level while the umbrella is closed.

An illuminable sun umbrella comprising a base, a vertical rod, an armrest, a pull rod, an umbrella frame and an umbrella cloth, wherein a plurality of light-transmitting film bags is fixedly arranged on the inner surface of the umbrella cloth, and an LED light strip is inserted into the light-transmitting film bag; the LED light strip is integrally placed into the light-transmitting film bag; the LED light strip is provided with a battery compartment connector, and the battery compartment connector is arranged outside the opening of the light-transmitting film bag; a battery compartment is arranged on the umbrella frame, and is electrically connected with the battery compartment connector; due to the simple circuit connection structure, the illuminable sun umbrella of the present invention can be conveniently installed and maintained.

A portable lighting system for single-handed operation includes abase for supporting the portable lighting system, a light source positioned on the base, a traveler having a key member attached to a rotating shaft mechanism extending from the traveler, and a frame connected to the base and the traveler and enclosing the light source. The frame includes a plurality of flexible ribs attached to the base at a first end and to the traveler at a second end, a latch plate having a key opening for engaging the key member and spaced a distance from the traveler, and at least one guide track connected between the traveler and the latch plate. The traveler is movable along the guide member from a starting position toward the latch plate causing the flexible ribs to bend outwardly and the key member is configured to enter the key opening and rotate via the rotating shaft mechanism to lock the traveler from returning to the starting position on the guide track. This configures the lighting system for use.

A portable lighting system for single-handed operation includes abase for supporting the portable lighting system, a light source positioned on the base, a traveler having a key member attached to a rotating shaft mechanism extending from the traveler, and a frame connected to the base and the traveler and enclosing the light source. A foldable reflector umbrella has a flexible, cloth-like reflective element with an outer supporting and tensioning structure composed of a plurality of tensioning spokes which are preferably distributed evenly over the expanse and divide the reflective element into a number of umbrella segments essentially corresponding to the number of tensioning spokes. With the reflector umbrella in the opened state, the reflective element consisting of the number of umbrella segments forms a substantially rotationally symmetrical body with a light exit opening.
