A self-aligning driveshaft coupler includes a receiving clutch mounted to a driveshaft and a locking clutch assembly mounted to an implement. The locking clutch assembly includes a collar and a yoke that rotate together, and a spring between the collar and the yoke. A locking pin may be pivotably attached to the yoke to move a projection on the locking pin in and out of the retaining groove. A plurality of drive pins extend axially from the collar. The spring biases the drive pins into engagement with the receiving clutch when the locking pin projection is in the retaining groove and the output shaft and receiving clutch are rotated less than 180 degrees.

Output shaft of a vehicle

A vehicle output shaft includes a torque transmission shaft, a drive-side end which is connected to a differential by way of a differential-side joint, and an output-side end which is connected to a driven wheel of the motor vehicle by way of a wheel-side joint, as well as at least one torsional vibration damper. The torsional vibration damper is arranged in a series circuit between the torque transmission shaft and at least one of the joints.

Articulating torsional coupling
10443660 · 2019-10-15 · ·

A constant velocity joint having driving and driven pivot arm segments coupled together with a pivotal bearing element provides high power density transmission through a large dynamic angle. The constant velocity joint may be configured for axial movement, such as a plunge capability, or may be a fixed center joint.

Constant velocity joint

A constant velocity joint includes: an outer joint member having a raceway groove; an inner joint member having a leg shaft; a roller that is able to roll on the raceway groove; and a needle bearing that supports an inner periphery of the roller such that the inner periphery of the roller is able to rotate with respect to the leg shaft. The leg shaft includes: a roll portion that supports the needle bearing; a contact portion that is able to contact an end face of the needle bearing, the end face facing a first side in the direction of a central axis of the needle bearing; and a recess portion formed between the roll portion and the contact portion, in a position where the recess portion is recessed from a space in which the needle bearing is disposed.

TRIPOD ROLLER FOR A CONSTANT VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT

A tripod roller for a constant velocity universal joint includes inner and outer rings separated by a set of rollers. During assembly of the tripod roller the rollers are assembled to one of the inner and outer rings and then the other of the inner and outer rings is moved axially into position. Then, a forming tool is applied to one of the rings, in a direction perpendicular to the roller axis, to create a securing region. The securing region prevents relative axial movement of the two rings during the assembly of the universal joint.

TRIPOD ROLLER AND TRIPOD JOINT

A tripod roller is used in a tripod joint having a joint outer part and a joint inner part with three supporting pins. The tripod roller is placed on at least one of the three supporting pins. The tripod roller includes an inner ring, an outer ring, and may include an intermediate ring. The inner ring is placed on a supporting pin. An outer surface of the outer ring bears against the joint outer part. At least one interface between the sliding pin, the inner ring, the intermediate ring, if present, and the outer ring forms a sliding bearing.

BOOT
