An ambulatory cane umbrella designed to allow a user to use a cane and umbrella in tandem. The ambulatory cane umbrella includes a base having an upper surface and a lower surface with a plurality of supports disposed around a perimeter of the base extending from the lower surface. One or more wheels are disposed on the lower surface. A support structure extends perpendicular to the base with a handle disposed atop the support structure. A basket is disposed along the support structure with an aperture in the handle in communication with an interior of the basket. A support brace is disposed at a distal end of the handle opposite the basket, wherein the support brace is designed to hold an umbrella therein. In this way, a user is able to use a cane and an umbrella in tandem with one another.

Disclosed herein are retractable umbrella frame devices comprising a base body structure at least partially surrounding a central axis structure. The central axis structure can be connected to a skeletal frame structure comprising a plurality of arms having a first end connected to the central axis structure and a second free end. The plurality of arms can be moveably connected to the central axis structure, such that the arms can be retracted into or extended from the base body structure. In some embodiments, the base body structure comprises open portions along its length. In some embodiments, the retractable umbrella frame devices further comprise one or more secondary support structures at least partially surrounding the base body structure. In some embodiments, the retractable umbrella frame devices can further comprise guide structures connected to the one or more secondary support structures and the arms of the skeletal frame structure.

A portable awning and table assembly includes a vehicle that has a cargo bed. A pair of first supports is each positionable in the cargo bed and a spool is rotatably coupled to between each of the first supports. A tarp is wrapped around the spool for storage and the tarp is selectively drawn off of the spool. A pair of second supports is spaceable a selected distance from the cargo bed. A pair of receivers is each coupled to a respective one of the second supports and engages the tarp when the tarp is drawn outwardly from the spool. In this way the tarp can shade an area therebeneath. A first table is removably coupled between the second supports having the first table is horizontally oriented for supporting objects. A second table is releasably coupled to the first table for increasing surface area for the objects.

An improved umbrella (10) comprising: a shaft (11); a plurality of ribs(13) spaced around the shaft (11) arranged to be capable of extending outwardly of the shaft (11) in a deployed condition; a canopy (12) supportable by the ribs (13); and a tensioner (19) comprising a filamentary material which extends around the perimeter of the umbrella (10), wherein the filamentary material (19) is arranged to tension the perimeter of the umbrella (10) and resist inversion of the umbrella (10) by pulling a distal end of each rib (13) towards the shaft (11) when in the deployed condition.

An umbrella assembly is provided that includes a frame, a canopy, an extension and a base. The frame includes a post and top piece, a number of arms, a number of connectors, a lift ring and a locking pin. The post includes a number of rod members attached together in adjacent parallel space orientation with a top piece which rotatably attaches to each of a number of arms each arm having a number of arm rod members attached together in adjacent parallel space orientation. Each arm is rotatably attached to one end of a connector. The other end of each connector is rotatably attached to the lift ring. Raising and lowering the lift ring opens and closes the umbrella arms. The locking pin holds the lift ring in an upper position.

The present invention relates to a portable shelter assembly. The assembly includes a support; and an expandable shelter for being supported by the support and expanding to shelter at least one person. The shelter includes ribs extending from the support. Each rib includes one or more proximal elements pivotally mounted to the support. Each rib further includes a distal element extending from the proximal elements and configured to move outwardly to expand the shelter when the proximal elements pivot in a first direction. Advantageously, the distal elements may be simply pulled down one at a time to lift the connected proximal elements and extend the ribs, which is advantageous in windy conditions, or pulled down together to lift the proximal elements and extend the ribs.

A beach umbrella comprises a lower pole section and separate upper pole section with a canopy. The pole sections may be connected by inserting the lower end of the upper section into a sleeve on the upper end of the lower section. The sleeve includes a hinged lever arm that may be positioned to permit manual rotation of the lower section to bore the lower pole securely into the soil and thereby permit coupling of the upper section to the lower section positioned in the ground. The lower end of the lower section includes a hollow tubular sleeve with outwardly projecting fins or blades to bore into the soil when the lower pole section is rotated and axially projecting teeth to pierce the sand.
