20220183430 · 2022-06-16 ·

A bird feeder umbrella assembly for keeping bird seed in a bird feeder dry includes a pole that includes a first portion which slidably engages a second portion. A support foot is coupled to the pole to engage the ground for retaining the pole in a vertical orientation when the pole is inserted into the ground. A plurality of hooks is each coupled to and extends laterally away from the pole. A sleeve is coupled to the pole and the sleeve is aligned with the pole. A bird feeder is removably suspended from a respective one of the hooks for feeding birds. An umbrella is insertable into the sleeve having the umbrella extending over each of the hooks to protect the bird feeder from precipitation thereby inhibiting the bird feed from getting wet.

Beach Umbrella Anchoring and Stabilizing Device
20220186514 · 2022-06-16 ·

A beach umbrella anchoring and stabilizing device includes a support shaft having a proximal end, a distal end, and a hollow interior for receiving a beach umbrella. An anchoring container affixed to the support shaft includes an open top, a closed bottom, and a sidewall extending around the support shaft from the open top to the closed bottom. The sidewall defines a laterally extending reservoir for receiving sand to anchor the device underneath the beach surface and provide lateral support to a beach umbrella mounted into the support shaft. Stabilizing vanes protrude from the distal end of the support shaft and extend from the closed bottom to the distal end. Each of the stabilizing vanes defines a broad surface that engages sand when a rotational force is exerted onto the support shaft, thereby preventing rotation of the support shaft about a longitudinal axis thereof when buried under the sand.

SELF-ADJUSTING SUN SHADE ASSEMBLY
20220175098 · 2022-06-09 · ·

The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a sun shade assembly. Particularly, the assembly includes a sail that releasably attaches to a pair of ribs, providing shade to the user. At least one support arm can be used to reinforce the ribs. A mast provides height to the assembly and includes an anchor that allows the assembly to be secured into a support surface (e.g., sand). The ribs and support arms rotate about the mast, thereby self-adjusting the direction of sail in response to the wind blowing. The assembly further includes a tension adjuster that can be tightened or loosed to control the rotation of the ribs and support arms in response to wind conditions.

DEVICE FOR ANCHORING A BEACH PARASOL POLE IN SAND OR IN A SANDY SOIL
20220145659 · 2022-05-12 ·

A device for anchoring a pole for a beach parasol in sand or in sandy soil includes a buriable plate manufactured from a rigid or semi-rigid material, a sleeve intended to receive said pole, the sleeve being associated with said plate by means of a junction zone, the sleeve opening out on both sides. The sleeve includes a tubular inner wall connected to the outer wall by means of radial ribs. The radial ribs extend towards the inside of the tubular inner wall in order to come into contact with the wall constituting the pole. These projecting parts of ribs inside the tubular inner wall first facilitate the insertion of the pole by rotation in the tubular inner wall while flexing the projecting parts of thr ribs, and secondly increase the clamping of the pole in the sleeve through relatively high pressure exerted on the wall of the pole.

PORTABLE SHELTERS
20220136276 · 2022-05-05 ·

A portable shelter includes a frame structure with a plurality of pole structures. In some embodiments, a pole structure includes telescopically movable pole portions and a spring-biasing mechanism configured to bias one pole portion away from the other. In some embodiments, a center hub structure of the portable shelter includes a locking mechanism for engaging one of the pole portions to interfere with telescopic movement of the pole structure. In some embodiments, a pole structure includes a flexible portion attached to a first rigid portion, and a second rigid portion that is movable relative to the first rigid portion. The second rigid portion is pivotable or telescopically movable between a first position in which the second rigid portion overlaps the first rigid portion such that the flexible portion is free to flex, and a second position in which the second rigid portion overlaps and restrains the flexible portion.

Locking system for the rotating foot of a mast, particularly for a free arm standing parasol
11723445 · 2023-08-15 · ·

In a locking system for a rotating foot of a mast, particularly of a mast for a free arm standing parasol, the mast is rotatable about an axis of rotation (A) defined by the rotating foot and includes a surrounded mast region. The locking system includes an operating lever for releasing or locking of the rotating foot which is arranged on the mast at a comfort height (H) of 0.5 to 1.5 m above the rotating foot, wherein the operating lever is movable between a folded-out position and a downwardly folded-in position and thereby cooperates via a lifting bar with stationary engaging elements of the rotating foot, wherein the lifting bar is raised in the release position and lowered in the locking position. To improve operability and operational security, the lifting bar is arranged at a distance from the axis of rotation (A) and externally of the surrounded mast region.

Straight-pole sun umbrella hand-cranking device

A straight-pole sun umbrella hand-cranking device comprises a standing pole and a shell fixed on the standing pole, wherein the shell comprises a first outer shell and a second outer shell. The shell is fixed on one side of the standing pole, and a rope winding wheel is mounted within the first and the second outer shells. The rope winding wheel is connected to a cranking shaft, and the cranking shaft is propelled to rotate through a cranking handle connected with the cranking shaft. An anti-slip mechanism is arranged on the cranking shaft. The anti-slip mechanism comprises a torsion spring, the torsion spring is sleeved on the cranking shaft. The rope winding wheel achieves easy winding or unwinding of the ropes, and the anti-slip performance is improved by the elastic force of the spring. As the aforesaid structure is protected against abrasion, its functional life is significantly prolonged.

SUPPORTING BASE, TABLE BODY AND OUTDOOR UMBRELLA
20220127872 · 2022-04-28 · ·

A supporting base and an outdoor umbrella using the supporting base are provided. The supporting base includes a supporting post, a plurality of supporting legs and a bottom pad. The supporting legs are hinged to a lower end of the supporting post. The supporting post is configured to connect an object to be supported. The bottom pad is a flexible bottom pad, and the bottom pad is connected to the supporting legs and arranged under the supporting legs. When the supporting legs are flipped to a supporting base placement surface along a hinge joint of the supporting leg and the supporting post, the bottom pad is located between the supporting legs and the supporting base placement surface and attached to the supporting base placement surface. The outdoor umbrella is fixedly placed by using the supporting base. The bottom pad is spread by the supporting legs.

Wind-resistant beach umbrella

A wind-resistant umbrella including a canopy attached to an upper end of a pole member, flexible ribs, and multiple load sensitive connectors (LSCs) is provided. The flexible ribs flex inwardly at a wind speed of more than about 10 miles per hour (mph) to preclude wind from traveling under the canopy. The LSCs detachably couple an upper canopy section to a lower canopy section of the canopy. The upper canopy section partially overlaps the lower canopy section along the LSCs. Upon impact from a wind gust that exceeds a speed of more than about 20 mph, at least one of the LSCs detach to allow wind to flow freely through one or more vents created between the upper and lower canopy sections, while providing warnings to a user, and to preclude wind-induced tilting and lifting actions on the wind-resistant umbrella, thereby precluding dislodgment thereof from an anchoring location.
