Reusable tie strap with multiple apertures
A tie strap comprising a first end having a plurality of first apertures adapted to receive a medial region and to couple with a plurality of ribs defined thereon, a hooked or knobbed catch mechanism protruding from a distal portion of the first end, and a plurality of second apertures situated along the medial region adapted to receive the catch mechanism. The second apertures may be further adapted to receive the medial region and to couple with the ribs defined thereon.
Stretchable zip tie
An improved zip tie includes a strap with a plurality of spaced holes formed therein. A head is supported at one end of the strap. The head has an entry opening for insertably accomodating the other end of the strap. A guide channel is formed within the head and extends between the entry opening and an opposite exit opening. A tongue is arranged within the guide channel and pivotally supported on a base at the entry opening. The tongue is pivotable between a locked position and an open position. A securing groove receives the tongue in the locked position. The securing groove is formed in the guide channel opposite the base proximal to the exit opening.
Hybrid fastener strap having positioning detents
The present invention relates to one-piece fasteners having a strap and a locking head utilized to secure elongate objects such as cables in a bundle, and in particular, to hybrid fasteners having both raised detents and locking teeth as part of the fastener strap.
RFID enhanced fixturing apparatus
A fixturing apparatus that includes a housing defining an interior space and having a trapezoidal cross-section, a first end, and an opposing second end, and is formed to include an aperture extending therethrough from the first end to said second end. The fixturing apparatus further comprises a flexible strap and a radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip to allow identifying and tracking the fixturing apparatus.
More versatile self-bonding cords
New fastening devices and techniques are provided. A self-bonding cord is provided with unlimited possible divisions and self-bonding points. In some embodiments, radially-emanating columns with barbs for self-bonding are provided, where the barbs are angled to promote holding as they are spread by the interposition of other columns during self-bonding of the cord. The columns also define the outer surface of the cord, having outer gripping features that create an outer surface of the cord. In other embodiments, a cord has a memory and conformational structure providing elastic bundling, and encouraging self-bonding and wrappingwith semi-circular semi-ports and outer holding ridges spaced at intervals corresponding with the contact profile of the cord. In a method of use, one wraps various items in at least one loop of the cord, and presses loose ends of the cord together, creating a strong, reversible self-bond. Multiple-strength touch bonding is also provided.
Key-releasable securing device
A key-releasable securing device has a flexible strap having a plurality of teeth and a locking head. The locking head has a cavity in which the flexible strap is insertable into and through to form a securing loop of adjustable dimension. The flexible strap is slidably movable in first or second directions to reduce or increase, respectively, the dimension of the securing loop. A pawl member is located inside the locking head so as to engage with the teeth of the flexible strap to allow movement in the first direction but prevent movement in the second direction. As a release key is inserted into the locking head, the release key is guided by guide means into engagement with the pawl member, so as to move the pawl member out of engagement with the teeth of the flexible strap to allow the strap to move in the second direction.
Tie strips
A high strength multiple-use cable tie (1), formed in a ladder-shaped construction comprising two substantially linear side rails (2) of generally uniform cross-section. These rails are interconnected by a plurality of closely spaced curved or chevron rungs (3) which define between them similarly shaped apertures (4). The free end (51) of the strip can readily pass through an aperture in a forward direction and form a closed loop, but when pulled in the reverse direction, the rungs engage to form a co-operative latch and thereby prevent withdrawal.
Bungee ball device and method of use
A bungee ball device includes a ball and a cord loop having a pair of cord segments. The ball has a flat part on it where the cord loop segments extend therefrom. The cord segment has at least one flat surface that engages the flat part of the ball when the bungee ball device is in use. The cord can include a tab extending from a portion thereof. The tab makes it easier to grasp the cord and stretch it to allow the ball to be removed from the space created by the cord segments and release the bungee ball device from its secured position. The ball and cord loop have a one-piece molded construction. The flat part on the ball and flat surface on the cord segment can be optional.
Cable tie strap and buckle
A low-profile cable tie strap and buckle assembly that secures a bundle. The cable tie strap includes a head, a body with a plurality of teeth and a tip. The cable tie strap also has locking tabs that extend from each side of the cable tie strap. The buckle has a first end with a raised member defining a horizontal strap passageway and a second end with a vertical strap passageway. The cable tie strap is installed in the first end of the buckle and the locking tabs secure the cable tie strap to the buckle. The cable tie strap wraps around the bundle. The free end of the cable tie strap is installed in the second end of the buckle to secure the bundle.
