Pharmaceutical composition to treat health conditions associated with elevated glucose levels
A threefold decrease in α-amylase inhibition, increase in insulin secretion and glucose uptake increase by the pharmaceutical composition of several naturally occurring substances and vitamins were observed when compared to the control cells, and a c.a. 1-1.5 fold decrease when compared to the positive control. More specifically Mix A and Mix B applied together with VitaminD+K2 shows significant effect on increased insulin secretion and glucose uptake by cells.
MICROEMULSION DELIVERY SYSTEMS FOR CANNABIS EXTRACTS AND TERPENES
Microemulsions are described where hydrophobic liquid droplets are distributed in a continuous hydrophilic liquid phase. The described microemulsions may be thought of as modified oil-in-water (MOIW) microemulsions, where both the “oil” and “water” phases of the microemulsion are modified. The oil phase droplets of the MOIW microemulsion are modified with alcohol and can solubilize oil-soluble species, including cannabis extracts and terpenes. The polar continuous “water” phase of the MOIW microemulsion is modified with a sugar or sugar alcohol.

TOPICAL COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF IMPROVING SKIN DISEASES AND DERMATITIS USING THE SAME
The present invention provides a topical composition having a fermented product of lactic acid bacteria synbiotics as an active ingredient. The fermented product of lactic acid bacteria synbiotics is obtained by performing a fermenting step with lactic acid bacteria and a deactivating step on a fermenting substrate. The lactic acid bacteria are consisting of Lactobacillus salivarius subsp. salicinius AP-32, Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis CP-9 and Lactobacillus acidophilus TYCA06. The fermenting substrate includes animal protein, plant protein and/or plant extracts. The aforementioned fermented product of lactic acid bacteria synbiotics can effectively inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus and/or Propionibacterium acnes, and can be used in the topical composition.
Herbal extracts and flavor systems for oral products and methods of making the same
The invention provides a method for preparing an herbal extract and a flavor system comprising an herbal extract produced by the process. The invention also provides a flavor system comprising an herbal extract comprising thymol, eugenol, carvacrol and eucalyptol. The invention further provides a flavor system comprising a thyme extract having a minimum inhibitory concentration of less than about 3%. Additionally, the invention provides an oral product comprising a flavor system.
