Pulling head work station
A pulling head work station for attaching the lugs of pulling heads to cables, so that the cables may be pulled simultaneously through a conduit. The pulling head work station includes staggered cable receiving jigs, each jig having two clamps to hold a corresponding cable in place during attachment of a pulling lug. A chop saw to cut the cables and a crimper to secure a pulling lug to each stripped end portion of a cable may be slidably mounted to a work surface of the work station. A wire stripper may be removably attached to the work station.
Assembly fixture for a stator vane assembly
A fixture for assembling a stator vane assembly for a gas turbine engine includes, an outer locating ring including a plurality of outer locating pins defining a position for each of a plurality of vanes relative to an outer fairing. An inner locating ring includes a plurality of inner locating rings defining a position of each of the plurality of vanes relative to an inner fairing. A clamp section includes a clamp portion and a clamp pin defining an angular orientation of each of the plurality of vanes relative to each of the inner and outer fairings. An inner locating section supports a plurality of radial locating pins defining a radial position of each of the plurality of vanes relative to the inner and outer fairings.
Manufacturing apparatus and method of mask assembly
A manufacturing apparatus for a mask assembly includes a plurality of mask tensile units configured to apply a tensile force to a mask. A plurality of counterforce application units are configured to apply a counterforce in an opposite direction to the direction of the tensile force to a mask frame to which the mask is attached. The counterforce application units are configured to apply the counterforce to an upper portion of a side of the mask frame.
Work holding devices
A work holding device that secures a workpiece includes a first support column, a second support column, and a plurality of part fixturing anchors. The first support column and the second support column are coupled to one another forming a longitudinal loading envelope having a width-wise dimension, a height-wise dimension, and a length-wise dimension. At least one of the support columns includes a plurality of part fixturing recesses passing through the support column in the width-wise dimension and arranged within the height-wise dimension and the length-wise dimension of the longitudinal loading envelope. The part fixturing anchors extend through the support column at the part fixturing recesses into the longitudinal loading envelope and couple the workpiece to the first and second support columns.
Apparatus and method for placement of angle plates in transverse duct flanges
An apparatus and method are described for inserting angle plates in transverse duct flanges. The apparatus is especially useful in inserting angle plates into transverse duct flanges of duct fittings. Packages for holding angle plates are also described.
Apparatus and method for use in making light filtering window shades
An apparatus to aid in the making of a light filtering window shade from shade fabric comprised of a series of longitudinal vane members having their longitudinal edges respectively secured to front and rear fabric panels. The apparatus comprises an assembly table and a roller tube positioning rail. The table has first and second ends with the first end adapted to facilitate the cutting of the shade fabric to a desired length. The roller tube positioning rail is releasably securable to the assembly table and releasably receives a roller tube having one end of the shade fabric secured thereto. The positioning rail permits the roller tube, and the shade fabric secured thereto, to be set-off a predetermined distance from the first end of the assembly table. The positioning rail maintains the roller tube generally parallel to the first end of the assembly table.
