System and method for forming barbs on a suture

A station for cutting a barb suture is provided. The barb cutting station includes a suture transport assembly for supporting a first suture, a first knife assembly for forming barbs on the first suture, and a first clamp and position assembly for approximating the at least first suture towards the at least first knife assembly. The barb cutting station may further include at least a first suture cutting mechanism configured for severing the at least first suture when a defect is detected. The station may also include at least a first visual inspection assembly configured for detecting defective barbs.

Pulling head work station

A pulling head work station for attaching the lugs of pulling heads to cables, so that the cables may be pulled simultaneously through a conduit. The pulling head work station includes staggered cable receiving jigs, each jig having two clamps to hold a corresponding cable in place during attachment of a pulling lug. A chop saw to cut the cables and a crimper to secure a pulling lug to each stripped end portion of a cable may be slidably mounted to a work surface of the work station. A wire stripper may be removably attached to the work station.

A side window mount assembly is provided for use in handling windscreens, which includes a vehicle anchor device for securing to a vehicle side window, a platform mechanically secured to the vehicle anchor device, a raising and lowering index hub supported by the platform, a connecting arm extending from the raising and lowering index hub, and a mount structure operably coupled to the connecting arm. The mount structure is configured to engage a support arm of a windscreen anchor assembly. The raising and lower index hub controls index rotation of the connecting arm that moves the mount structure between a dropped down and a raised-up position in an index-wise manner between a series of successively rotationally spaced positions of the raising and lowering index hub.

A fixture for assembling a stator vane assembly for a gas turbine engine includes, an outer locating ring including a plurality of outer locating pins defining a position for each of a plurality of vanes relative to an outer fairing. An inner locating ring includes a plurality of inner locating rings defining a position of each of the plurality of vanes relative to an inner fairing. A clamp section includes a clamp portion and a clamp pin defining an angular orientation of each of the plurality of vanes relative to each of the inner and outer fairings. An inner locating section supports a plurality of radial locating pins defining a radial position of each of the plurality of vanes relative to the inner and outer fairings.

A system for attaching a PTO yoke to a tractor PTO output shaft comprises gripping a shaft of the PTO yoke using a clamp tool, whereby the clamp tool maintains a slide collar of the PTO yoke in a retracted position with respect to the yoke shaft, such that the yoke shaft is exposed for attachment to the tractor PTO output shaft. The clamp tool may comprise pliers, including plier jaws and plier handles; and a flexible band coupled to the plier jaws.

A plug tool is provided that can retrieve, hold and/or install plugs in holes defined by a substrate such as a board. The tool can include a handle including an upper portion and a lower portion, a tube extending from the lower portion, the tube sized to receive a plug therein, and an ejector configured to eject a plug from the tube. A method of using the tool can include placing the tube over a plug having a plug face, a plug sidewall and a plug bottom such that the plug sidewall engages and is retained in the tube; moving the tool so that the tube is aligned with a hole defined by a recipient board, the hole bounded by a hole sidewall; and ejecting the plug from the tube so the plug sidewall engages the hole sidewall and is deposited in the plug hole.
