Line for processing a continuous web material and related method
The line comprises a feed path (P) of the web material (N) and, along the feed path, a transverse cutter (5) for cutting scraps (FS) from the continuous web material (N). The line includes a system for removing scraps of web material cut by the cutter. The system for removing scraps is fitted with a scrap accumulator member (21). The accumulator member (21) is movable in a direction generally parallel to the feed path (P) of the web material between: a position for receiving scraps, wherein the distance between the accumulator member (21) and the cutter (5) is such that scraps (FS) generated by the cutter (5) are collected by the accumulator member (21); and a standby position, at a distance from the cutter (5) such that scraps (FS) generated by the cutter are collected in a space (D) between the cutter (5) and the accumulator member (21).
Micro-cutting systems for forming cuts in products
This disclosure describes a micro-cutting machine for forming cuts in catheters, guidewires, and similar products. The micro-cutting machine can directly control the dimensions of the resultant beams being cut into these types of products, and can also capture images of each cut for feedback control and accuracy verification. The micro-cutting machine has two cutting blades each with cutting edges aligned with a vertical axis. Motors operate to move the cutting blades in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the stock material being cut to form a pair of opposing grooves in the stock material with each cut.
Noodle string treatment apparatus and treatment method
To provide a noodle string treatment apparatus and treatment method capable of manufacturing instant noodles that are short noodle strings. The noodle string treatment apparatus of the present invention has: a cutting device having a rotary blade and cutting a batch of noodle strings into a predetermined length; and a control device for controlling a blade edge peripheral speed of the rotary blade, wherein the control device changes the blade edge peripheral speed of the rotary blade during rotation thereof.
MECHANICAL LOCKING SYSTEM FOR FLOOR PANELS
Building panels provided with a locking system for vertical and horizontal locking of a first edge and a second edge of adjacent panels. The locking system includes a displaceable tongue at least partly arranged in a displacement groove, a tongue groove, a cavity provided in a strip at the first edge, and a protrusion extending downwards at the second edge. The displaceable tongue is arranged to be displaced at least partly into the tongue groove during locking, and wherein the protrusion is arranged to be located in least a portion of the cavity when the panels are locked vertically and horizontally.
Device for cutting paper webs
A device for cutting paper webs comprises a substantially continuously operated region of a papers supply, a discontinuously operated region of transverse severing of a separating the paper web, and a buffer region (15) for coupling the continuously and discontinuously operated regions. At least one receptacle (17) open at the top is provided in the buffer region, into which the paper web(s) (3, 3) are guided so as to be looped in a freely suspended manner. The buffer region is arranged after a longitudinal cutting device (9) for producing at least two longitudinal webs (3, 3), whereby at least two webs extending separately and adjacently to one another are guided in the receptacle or at least two receptacles are arranged adjacently to one another or adjacently to one another at an offset, wherein the paper webs are guided into the receptacles.
BLANKING DIE AND METHOD OF BLANKING SHEET METAL THEREWITH
An example of a blanking die includes a blanking apparatus configured to form a series of at least two metallic blanks from sheet metal, and an ejection apparatus configured to eject a first one of the series of the metallic blanks out of the blanking die in a predetermined direction and a second one of the series of the metallic blanks out of the blanking die in said predetermined direction.
Device for splitting foam bodies
A thin layer is cut from a foam material body using a band-knife. A take-off device that lifts and removes the layer from the cutting site, includes a belt conveyor with an electrostatically chargeable conveyor element. The layer is lifted and removed from the cutting site by electrostatic attraction to the conveyor element.
Oscillating microtome with flexure drive
A microtome method and apparatus includes a microtome blade configured to oscillate in a direction transverse to a direction of advancing a cut, and a first flexure to support and guide the blade. The first flexure is compliant in the transverse direction while being stiff in the cut direction. A second flexure operatively engaged at one end portion with the first flexure, is stiff in the transverse direction while being compliant in the cut direction. The other end portion of the second flexure is rotatably engaged by an eccentric driven by a rotatable actuator, which oscillates the blade in the transverse direction while effectively isolating non-transverse motion from the blade. The second flexure is configured to move independently of any guides or other stationary objects during oscillation.
Sectioning volume samples
A microtome includes a blade located at an end of a trough that defines a cavity for holding a liquid; a sample block in which the at least one sample is suspended, the sample block is moveable relative to the blade such that when the sample block is passed across the blade a section is cut from the sample block; a plate that includes a support frame that defines an opening, and a transparent film extending across the opening, the transparent film being transparent to electrons, a grasper being configured to receive and retain the plate, wherein the grasper is moveable relative to the blade; and a pusher section that lacks the sample pusher section.
