METHOD FOR PRODUCING BIPOLAR PLATES
A method for producing bipolar plates includes removing scrap material from an electrically conductive plate. The scrap material is created when the plate is cut through to produce a fluid flow opening therein and in which an inlet manifold opening and an outlet manifold opening are located at the ends of the fluid flow opening and in communication therewith.
Method of machining a flat harness using a punching machine
A flat harness is machined by providing a punching machine that includes a first punching device and a second device, and forming different types of hole portions in the shape on the insulating portion of the flat harness in a die cutting process by using the first punching device and the second punching device.
Automated machine for slitting and wedge cutting whole fruits and vegetables
An automated food processing machine receives a whole fruit or vegetable and presses it through a blade set to form slices or wedges. The machine includes a controller coupled to various components including linear motion actuators, a user interface, and sensors. One motion actuator coupled to a slitting blade. Another motion actuator is coupled to a ram. In response to an input the controller activates the motion actuators in a sequence including (1) linear motion of the slitting blade to form a slit in the whole fruit or vegetable and (2) linear motion of the ram to press the whole fruit or vegetable through a blade set to form the slices or wedges.
Economical Nasal Dilator and Method of Manufacture
A nasal dilator comprises a laminate of vertically stacked layers each comprising at least one member or component. The layers form a unitary, or single body, truss. The truss features horizontal regions adapted to engage outer wall tissues of first and second nasal passages and to traverse the bridge of a nose therebetween. The dilator acts to stabilize and/or expand the nasal outer wall tissues and prevent said tissues from drawing inward during breathing. Dilator members, including components thereof, are configured to dimensional criteria suitable to engage and provide effective dilation to nasal passages, that create lateral and longitudinal registration of dilator members or components during manufacture, and that facilitate manufacture with minimal material waste. Methods of manufacture further include progressive steps that fabricate and assemble components into finished devices, including user assembly thereof. Embodiments further include a user-adjustable truss length, a truss which features a resilient member with divergent extensions and/or enlarged terminal ends, and a plurality of resilient members joined together at their end portions.
Disk-shaped workpiece dividing method
A dividing method for a disk-shaped workpiece having a plurality of first division lines and a plurality of second division lines intersecting the first division lines. The workpiece is cut along the first and second division lines by using a cutting blade in a down cut manner as supplying a cutting fluid to the cutting blade, wherein the workpiece is fully cut in a thickness direction thereof to obtain a plurality of chips. The dividing method includes a first cutting step of cutting the workpiece along the first division lines and a second cutting step of cutting the workpiece along the second division lines. In at least the second cutting step, the outer circumference of the workpiece at the cut end of each second division line is not cut to form an uncut region, thereby suppressing the formation of waste chips.
Acoustic wave device and method for producing same
An acoustic wave device comprises a substrate and an acoustic wave element on one main surface of the substrate. Side surfaces of the substrate comprises a protruding portion which protrudes out at a side of an another main surface closer than a side with the one main surface side.
Method of cutting a control line outside of a tubular
A method of cutting a control line mounted on an outer surface of a downhole tubular that includes providing a cutting tool having a main body, and a cutting head on a lower end of the body that rotates with respect to the body. A cutting blade is on a lower end of the cutting head, which is rotatable by a motor, where the blade is selectively pivoted radially outward from an axis of the cutting head. As the cutting head rotates, the cutting blade orbits within the tubular axially offset from the axis. When the tool is inserted into the tubular, the radial offset of the blade is controlled so it pivots radially outward into contact with the tubular when the blade approaches an azimuthal area proximate the control line. The cutting blade is retracted when its orbit moves it past the azimuthal area proximate the control line.
In-line punching machine
A material punching machine includes a guide member defining a material pathway for transporting a piece of material through the machine. The machine also includes a first sensor element disposed adjacent the material pathway for detecting a first position of a trailing edge of the material as the material moves through the material pathway. The machine also includes a second sensor element disposed adjacent the material pathway for detecting a second position of the trailing edge of the material as the material moves through the material pathway. The machine also includes a punch element that punches a first aperture in the piece of material in a first area of the piece of material based on detection of the trailing edge by the first sensor, and punches a second aperture in another area of the piece of material based on detection of the trailing edge by the second sensor.
Reprocessed dies
A method includes removing material from a die and thereby changing a location of a cutting edge of the die in a punch entry direction and changing a cutting edge cross-section of the die; and assigning a punch and/or a workpiece thickness to the die based, at least in part, on the change in the cutting edge cross-section of the die.
WOUND PACKING
The present invention relates to a wound packing material, suitable for use in negative pressure wound therapy, comprising a body of a porous material, the body comprising frangible regions defining a plurality of portions, the frangible regions allowing the portions to be selectively removed from the body. The invention further relates to methods of manufacturing the wound packing material, and to methods of its use.
