OUTDOOR UMBRELLA CAPABLE OF BEING FOLDED AND UNFOLDED BY PRESSING
An outdoor umbrella includes an umbrella post, an umbrella cover assembly and a folding-unfolding device. The umbrella cover assembly includes an umbrella rib assembly and an umbrella fabric covering the umbrella rib assembly. The folding-unfolding device includes a slide sleeve, a folding-unfolding handle assembly and a pull rod. A first oblique rod and a second oblique rod hinged and matched with each other are disposed on the umbrella rib assembly. One end of the first oblique rod is hinged to the slide sleeve. One end of the second oblique rod is hinged and matched with the umbrella post. A middle portion of the folding-unfolding handle assembly is hinged and matched with the umbrella post, and the folding-unfolding handle assembly is able to vertically stretch the pull rod in cooperation with a lever and drives the slide sleeve to slide vertically to fold or unfold the umbrella cover assembly.
Conveniently open and close sun umbrella
The present invention provides a conveniently open and close sun umbrella, which includes a vertical pole, a connecting rod, an inclined rod, an umbrella frame and an umbrella opening mechanism. The two ends of the connecting rod are respectively hinged on the vertical pole and the inclined rod. The umbrella opening mechanism includes a first pull rope, a movable pulley, a second pull rope and a slide locking piece which is slidably mounted on the vertical pole. One end of the inclined rod is hinged on the slide locking piece, and the other end is hinged on a fixed umbrella disk. One end of the first pull rope is fixed on the movable pulley, and the other end is fixed on the movable umbrella disk. One end of the second pull rope is fixed on the vertical pole, and the other end is fixed on the slide locking piece.

Standing parasol with hand crank device
A standing parasol has a parasol mast (2) and an actuating device (4) arranged thereon, which actuating device cooperates with a connecting organ (6) for moving a parasol part. The actuating device comprises a hand crank device (8) with an associated crank handle (10) which is rotatable about a substantially horizontal crank axis of rotation (A) and is coupled to the connecting organ (6), wherein the crank handle (10) is formed in two parts with an inner handle portion (12) which is arranged substantially transversely to the crank axis of rotation (A), and with an outer handle portion (14) which is pivotable with respect to the inner handle portion (12) between a substantially coaxial resting position and an angled functional position about a handle pivot axis (G). In the functional position, the hand crank device (8) can be brought into rotational engagement with the connecting organ (6), whereas in the resting position, the hand crank device (8) is rotationally disengaged from the connecting organ (6).

Folding mechanism
A folding mechanism contains a rail which forms a guide for a series of runners which are slideable in relation to each other on the rail, whereby each runner or at least a part thereof is provided with a rib which is attached hingeably on the runner around a shaft largely perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rail between an open position whereby the ribs are turned away from the rail and a closed position whereby the ribs are turned towards the rail and whereby at least some of the ribs lying on the same side of the rail are connected with each other using a transmission which, when sliding the runners towards or away from each other on the rail, makes the ribs hinge on the runners.

Networked personal weather devices and related methods for providing weather information
The formation of dynamic, micro-climate groups consisting of passive and active weather collecting devices is provided. Such devices may collect weather information in real-time. The collected information may be distributed weather information and or forecasts to individuals in a particular geographical area or to other subscribers.
An Improved Cantilever Umbrella and Devices Therefor
A cantilever umbrella has an upstanding mast and a cantilever arm adapted to support a canopy. The cantilever arm is pivotally attached to the mast at an upper portion and configured to pivot between an open position where the canopy is deployed and where the cantilever arm extends away from the mast, and a closed position where the canopy is withdrawn and the cantilever arm extends close to the mast. The mast has interior region defined by a longitudinally extending channel with a longitudinally aligned opening extending from the interior to the exterior of the mast. A carriage resides within the channel and is adapted for travel within the channel. A support arm pivotally connected with the cantilever arm at one end, and pivotally connect with the carriage, through the channel opening at an opposing end. Raising of the carriage within the channel causes the cantilever to transition to the open position, and lowering of the carriage causes the cantilever to transition to the closed position.
