POWER TOOL CUTTING APPARATUS
The invention relates to apparatus for providing for the powered cutting of a workpiece, typically in the form of a planar or sheet material. The apparatus includes a rotatable blade to cut the workpiece and the blade is mountable such as in a first mode of use to be capable of being held in a fixed position in which the workpiece is moved past the blade, and a second mode of use in which the blade is moved with respect to the workpiece to cut the same. The workpiece is mounted on a base and the blade is mounted with respect to the base via one or more slide members.
Reusable device with cutting surface enabling straight cuts of material
A device according to one embodiment includes a sidewall defining an interior; at least one cutting channel having, and/or configured to receive, at least one cutting strip; an opening in the sidewall configured to allow a sheet of material to pass therethrough from the interior; a door coupled to the sidewall; and a handle coupled to the sidewall. A device according to another embodiment includes a peripheral sidewall; a lid coupled to an upper edge of the peripheral sidewall, the lid and the peripheral sidewall defining an interior; a bottom edge of the peripheral sidewall defining an opening to the interior, the interior being configured to receive a sheet of material; at least one cutting channel having, and/or configured to receive, at least one cutting strip; and an opening in the lid, the opening being configured to allow the sheet of material to pass therethrough from the interior.
MICRO-CUTTING SYSTEMS FOR FORMING CUTS IN PRODUCTS
This disclosure describes a micro-cutting machine for forming cuts in catheters, guidewires, and similar products. The micro-cutting machine can directly control the dimensions of the resultant beams being cut into these types of products, and can also capture images of each cut for feedback control and accuracy verification. The micro-cutting machine has two cutting blades each with cutting edges aligned with a vertical axis. Motors operate to move the cutting blades in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the stock material being cut to form a pair of opposing grooves in the stock material with each cut.
Cutting and display tray for cutting proportional sized pieces of pizza
A food cutting guide comprising a base for supporting and cutting food, said base having first and second planar surfaces, a peripheral edge, and a plurality of cutting grooves formed in at least one of the planar surfaces to facilitate and guide the movement of a food cutting utensil in cutting the food, and at least one centering guide disposed inwardly from said peripheral edge on at least the planar surfaces having said cutting grooves; wherein said at least one centering guide facilitates the placement of the food in the center of the cutting surface; and wherein said plurality of cutting grooves are equally spaced to facilitate cutting equal size slices of food.

Cutting and sealing apparatuses and methods
A cutting apparatus configured to hold an elongate element, such as a ribbon, in a desired orientation as the elongate element is cut into two sections. A cutting element of such a cutting apparatus may be confined to a single orientation relative to that of the elongate element, reducing or eliminating the likelihood of misalignment between the cutting element and the elongate element immediately before the elongate element is cut. In some embodiments, the cutting apparatus, or even its cutting element, may be configured to seal the newly cut ends of the elongate element. Methods for cutting and or sealing elongate elements, such as ribbons, are also disclosed.
Power saw miter cutting guide
A cutting guide includes a first guide structure having a base, a first saw support, and a second saw support. The first saw support is attached to the base and defines a first saw contact surface. The second saw support is attached to the base and defines a second saw contact surface that is spaced apart from the first saw contact surface so as to define an elongated cutting slot therebetween. The elongate cutting slot defines (i) a first slot portion, (ii) a second slot portion that is contiguous with the first slot portion, and (iii) a third slot portion that is contiguous with the second slot portion. The second slot portion is interposed between the first slot portion and the third slot portion.
MULTIFUNCTION CUTTING TOOL GUIDE
A multifunction cutting tool guide which includes a base plate having a top surface and a bottom surface, with the base plate top surface including connection points for connecting a power tool to the base plate top surface. A track extends longitudinally along the bottom surface of the base plate for use in guided cuts. The track is defined by first and second spaced walls with at least one of the walls being movable with respect to the other wall to accommodate various sized straight edges. The base also includes a laterally extending channel adapted to mount on a straight edge for rip cuts.
