A gas supplying method of supplying a process gas containing a gas of at least one gaseous species into a process space in a semiconductor manufacturing apparatus includes supplying the process gas by controlling a flow rate value of the gas to be a first value during a first period; supplying the process gas by controlling the flow rate value of the gas to be a second value smaller than the first value during a second period; supplying the process gas by controlling the flow rate value of the gas to be a third value greater than the first value during a third period; and supplying the process gas by controlling the flow rate value of the gas to be a fourth value smaller than the second value during a fourth period, wherein these steps are periodically repeated in a predetermined order.
ADAPTER FOR POOL CLEANING SYSTEM
An adapter for a pool cleaning system is provided. The adapter includes a base member having a top and a bottom surface. The adapter also includes six upper ports coupled to the top surface of the base member, each upper port including an upper aperture extending through the upper port and through the base member. The adapter further includes five lower ports coupled to the bottom surface of the base member, each lower port including a lower aperture extending through the lower port and through the base member. In some embodiments, four of lower ports are in fluid communication four of the upper ports and one of the lower ports is in fluid communication with two of the upper ports.
MANIPULATION OF FLUIDS, FLUID COMPONENTS AND REACTIONS IN MICROFLUIDIC SYSTEMS
Microfluidic structures and methods for manipulating fluids, fluid components, and reactions are provided. In one aspect, such structures and methods can allow production of droplets of a precise volume, which can be stored/maintained at precise regions of the device. In another aspect, microfluidic structures and methods described herein are designed for containing and positioning components in an arrangement such that the components can be manipulated and then tracked even after manipulation. For example, cells may be constrained in an arrangement in microfluidic structures described herein to facilitate tracking during their growth and/or after they multiply.
Liquid level control loop optimizer
A liquid level control loop optimizer receives a selection of a vessel configuration and a variety of parameters specifying the vessel dimensions, the fluid type(s), and the flow parameters of the liquid level control loop. The optimizer also receives a selection of various valve and actuator options and determines a variety of available configurations based on the selected options. The optimizer simulates each of the available configurations under the conditions specified by the parameters, and determines control loop characteristics and/or properties based on the simulations. The optimizer may display and/or rank the various configurations to assist a user in selecting a configuration that best meets the requirements of the control loop.
Vapor control for storage tank with pump off unit
A system and method removes well fluids, which include gas and liquids, from a storage tank. The storage tank has a gas relief valve that opens to admit atmospheric air into the storage tank when the pressure of a gas cap decreases below a vacuum threshold pressure. Well fluids flow into the storage tank and the level of liquid is monitored. When the level reaches a first level, a pump is operated by a controller to remove liquid from the storage tank. The pressure in the gas cap is monitored while the pump is operating. The speed of the pump is adjusted to maintain the gas cap pressure above the predetermined pressure and avoid the introduction of atmospheric air into the gas cap.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR PROGRAMMING FLUID FLOW USING SEQUENCED MICROSTRUCTURES
A microfluidic platform is disclosed that uses obstacles placed at particular location(s) within the channel cross-section to turn and stretch fluid. The asymmetric flow behavior upstream and downstream of the obstacle(s) due to fluid inertia manifests itself as a total deformation of the topology of streamlines that effectively creates a tunable net secondary flow. The system and methods passively creates strong secondary flows at moderate to high flow rates in microchannels. These flows can be accurately controlled by the numbers and particular geometric placement of the obstacle(s) within the channel.
PUMPING CASSETTE
A pumping cassette including a housing having at least two inlet fluid lines and at least two outlet fluid lines. At least one balancing pod within the housing and in fluid connection with the fluid paths. The balancing pod balances the flow of a first fluid and the flow of a second fluid such that the volume of the first fluid equals the volume of the second fluid. The balancing pod also includes a membrane that forms two balancing chambers. Also included in the cassette is at least two reciprocating pressure displacement membrane pumps. The pumps are within the housing and they pump the fluid from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet line and pump the second fluid from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet.
