Valve Operator Arm
A valve operator system having an arm for pivotal mounting to a vehicle and a valve operator head slidingly engaged with a track on the arm. The arm may be pivoted through a wide arc to easily reach a target valve, with the valve operator head easily slid into position. The valve operator head preferably includes a series of rollers that engage longitudinal rods positioned in the opposing rails of a track mounted to the arm. A single track on top of the arm may be used, or two tracks positioned on opposing side surfaces of the arm. Pins or a locking bolt may be used to affix the valve operator head in place once moved into the desired position above the target valve and the arm can be locking into position with a drum brake or locking pins.
Aircraft landing gear cooling system
According to one embodiment, an apparatus for cooling at least one landing gear brake of an aircraft in flight is described. The apparatus includes an air handling assembly that is coupled to the aircraft. The air handling assembly includes at least one air inlet port. The apparatus also includes an air delivery assembly that is in air receiving communication with the air handling assembly. The air delivery assembly includes at least one nozzle that is configured to direct air into a first space adjacent a first side of the landing gear brake to create an air pressure differential across the landing gear brake.
OFFSHORE CARGO RACK FOR USE IN TRANSFERRING FLUID HOLDING TANK LOADS BETWEEN A MARINE VESSEL AND AN OFFSHORE PLATFORM
A cargo rack for transferring loads between a marine vessel and an offshore marine platform (for example, oil and gas well drilling or production platform) provides a frame having a front, a rear, and upper and lower end portions. The lower end of the frame has a perimeter beam base, a raised floor and a pair of open-ended parallel fork tine tubes or sockets that communicate with the perimeter beam at the front and rear of the frame, preferably being structurally connected (e.g., welded) thereto. Openings in the perimeter beam base align with the forklift tine tubes or sockets. The frame includes a plurality of fixed side walls extending upwardly from the perimeter beam that include at least left and right side walls. A plurality of gates are movably mounted on the frame including a gate at least at the front and at least at the rear of the frame, each gate being movable between open and closed positions, the gates enabling a forklift to place fluid holding tanks on the floor by accessing either the front of the frame or the rear of the frame. A manifold arrangement with specially configured fittings enables transfer of fluid in any tank to a common outlet.
