A pressure control apparatus includes a main line section and a branch line operably joined to and extending from the main line section. A housing around the branch line has a first wall and a second wall opposed to the first wall, and a first opening is in the first wall. A plug is operably positioned in the branch line, and the plug has a first position that prevents fluid flow through the branch line and a second position that permits fluid flow through the branch line. A loop extends from the plug, and a lever pivotally connected to the second wall and extending through the loop and the first opening in the first wall positions the plug to the first and second positions.

A locking device for a regulator and/or valve is disclosed herein. The locking device includes an adjustment head barrier assembly, the adjustment head barrier assembly configured to restrict access to an adjustment head of a regulator and/or valve so as to prevent a tool from engaging the adjustment head; a housing assembly configured to be disposed over the adjustment head barrier assembly, the housing assembly configured to restrict access to the adjustment head barrier assembly and protect the adjustment head barrier assembly from exposure to outdoor precipitation; and a locking assembly configured to removably couple the housing assembly to the adjustment head barrier assembly, the locking assembly configured to prevent unauthorized access to the adjustment head barrier assembly and the adjustment head of the regulator and/or valve.

One-way valve cap

Improvements in a one-way valve cap to allow a homeowner to install the cap without requiring tools. This allows a homeowner to simply remove the existing cap and install the new cap to prevent removal from an unauthorized person. The one-way locking mechanism includes a ramp that prevents a person from unscrewing to cap without a tool. The opening allows a person to insert the tool through the outer housing and into the inner housing to unscrew the inner housing from the valve. A hex key or a custom key design can be used for removing the cap. A seal is inserted in the inner housing and seals the inner housing with the valve. The elastomeric seal prevents intrusion of contamination inside of the valve and also provides an additional seal to the valve to reduce a potential leak of gas from the line.

Valve switchbox

A switchbox for monitoring the position of a manual quarter-turn valve has a housing mountable to the valve to be monitored/controlled. A handle-driven shaft extends through the housing, with one end of the shaft couplable to the valve stem such that movement of the shaft moves the valve stem. One or more shaft position sensor switches interact with a cam on the shaft to signal shaft position and/or provide control signals. A plate coupled to the shaft articulates within a recess on the surface of the switchbox to limit motion of the valve to an operable range, such as between full ON and full OFF. The switchbox has a pair of lock tabs with lock apertures. A lock aperture in the plate is alignable with the lock tab apertures to receive a pin or padlock for locking the valve in a selected position. A potentiometer can be utilized in place of a switch as a shaft position sensor. The switchbox may be used with an original or new handle and may feature detents to allow a range of valve settings.

A blocking valve has an outer valve body housing a weighted paddle, the weighted paddle having a narrow upper portion with a hitch groove and a wider lower portion, the weighted paddle rotatable around a horizontal pivot, the weighted paddle to lie in a horizontal position during an active flow of liquid and to rotate to a vertical position with the upper portion above the lower portion when the flow of liquid is stopped, and a locking mechanism to engage with the hitch groove to lock the weighted paddle into a vertical position and to block the active flow of liquid when the active flow of liquid is resumed.

THERMAL INSULATING VALVE HANDLE WITH MEMORY STOP AND LOCKING MECHANISM

A handle for a valve assembly having a valve member. The handle includes a body configured to be coupled to the valve member, a body insert including a head that is graspable for opening and closing the valve member, and an adjustable stop assembly. The adjustable stop assembly is positioned on and engaged with the body insert and includes a first plate, a second plate, and a fastener. The first plate is rotatable relative to the body insert between an open state, a closed state, and a memory-stop state, each of which corresponds to a different orientation of the valve member. The fastener couples the first plate and the second plate together. The fastener is engageable by a user to move the first plate to the memory-stop state. The valve member is at least partially open when the first plate is in the memory-stop state.
