A coolant control ball valve assembly comprises a housing that includes a housing chamber. The coolant control ball valve assembly further comprises a channel and a plurality of ports that extend from the housing chamber, and a valve element positioned in line with the channel and the plurality of ports. Additionally, the coolant control ball valve assembly comprises an actuator assembly in communication with the valve element. The actuator assembly includes an expansion element, and linear translation of the actuator assembly results in rotational translation of the valve element. Further, the coolant control ball valve comprises a flow diverter positioned adjacent the valve element. The flow diverter allows for coolant to reach a minimum velocity around the expansion element.

Multifunctional restrictive valve

A multifunctional restrictive valve for controlling the flow of water therethrough. The valve has a main body with a flow channel through the main body. The main body receives water upstream thereof through an inlet port and passes it out through an outlet port at the downstream end of the body. A flow control assembly is located in the flow channel and includes a temperature sensor/actuator acting on a piston to move, when the temperature sensor heats up the piston, to block water flow control ports. The flow control assembly also includes an override feature wherein the piston is located within a slide and the flow control ports are located in the slide. By moving the slide away from the piston when the piston is blocking the flow control ports, the temperature sensor and piston may be overridden and flow may resume through the main body.

DEPRESSURISATION VALVE

A depressurisation valve for a cooling system comprising: a main chamber having a main valve, a pilot line having a secondary valve and a blowdown line; the main valve being located to seal a path of the coolant system of the nuclear reactor. The main chamber is connected to the cooling circuit via the pilot line allowing coolant to enter the main chamber, and the blowdown line allows coolant to escape from the main chamber, the pilot line having a lower fluid resistance than the blowdown line. The pressure of coolant in the main chamber maintains the main valve in a closed position, and under elevated temperature and/or pressure conditions fluid is prevented from entering the main chamber via a closure of the secondary valve on the pilot line and reduce the pressure from the valve, moving it to its open position.

Described are a method and an apparatus for delivering a fluid having a desired mass composition. According to the method, temperatures of the fluids to be mixed are sensed and the densities of the fluids at the sensed temperatures are determined. The volume of each fluid is determined so that a mixture of the fluids at the sensed temperatures has the desired mass composition. The determined volumes of the fluids are combined to create the mixture. In one option, combining the determined volumes includes metering flows of the fluids sequentially into a common fluid channel. Alternatively, combining the determined volumes includes controlling a flow rate of each of the fluids and directing the fluids into a common fluid channel.

A thermostatic valve is provided. The thermostatic valve includes a first seat, a second seat spaced axially apart from the first seat, and a shuttle. The shuttle is located between the first seat and the second seat, has a first side and a second side axially opposite the first side, and is movable between a first position in which the first side of the shuttle seals against the first seat and a second position in which the second side of the shuttle seals against the second seat. At least one of the first seat, the second seat, and the shuttle includes an overmolded portion for sealing between the shuttle and at least one of the first seat and the second seat.

The seating element is disposed axially between the motor and the sealing element, and movement of the sealing element in the axial direction breaks the formed seal to allow fluid flow within the housing between the second inlet and the spout outlet.
