INCONTINENCE DETECTION APPARATUS ELECTRICAL ARCHITECTURE
An incontinence detection system includes an incontinence detection pad for placement beneath a person to be monitored. The incontinence detection pad has a passive radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. A reader is provided and a plurality of antennae is coupled to the reader. The reader includes a bistatic radio frequency (RF) switch matrix which is operable to establish a first antenna of the plurality of antennae as a transmit antenna that is used to wirelessly energize the passive RFID tag and to establish a second antennae of the plurality of antennae as a receive antenna that is used to read backscattered data that may be emitted from the passive RFID tag. The first and second antennae are situated in respective housings that are spaced apart from each other. An arrangement of first and second electrodes on an electrical sheet of an incontinence pad is also provided.
Lamination of electrochromic device to glass substrates
Electrochromic device laminates and their method of manufacture are disclosed.
Method for manufacturing light distribution member, and method for manufacturing light emitting device
A method for manufacturing a light distribution member has steps of providing a plurality of first light blocking film members, each of which including a first light blocking film covering a surface of a light-transmissive board, bonding a plurality of first light blocking film members, such that each first light blocking film is sandwiched between light-transmissive boards of adjacent first light blocking film members, to form a first bonded body, and cutting the first bonded body in a direction perpendicular to a lamination surface of the first light blocking film members so as to form a plurality of slices.
Absorbent article process and apparatus for intermittently deactivating elastics in elastic laminates
The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for assembling absorbent articles, and more particularly, methods and apparatuses for severing elastic in an advancing elastic laminate. A continuous elastic laminate may be formed by bonding elastic strands between a first continuous substrate layer and a second continuous substrate layer. As discussed in more detail below, the continuous elastic laminate may advance through a cutting apparatus that intermittently deactivates or severs the elastic strands of the elastic laminate along the machine direction.
Food forming drum
The present invention relates to a food forming drum comprising a multitude of rows of cavities. The present invention further relates to the process of manufacturing the inventive drum.
Single-crystal piezoelectric fiber composite and magnetoelectric laminate composite including the same
A piezoelectric fiber composite and a magnetoelectric laminate composite including the same are disclosed. The piezoelectric fiber composite includes a first protective layer having a first electrode, a second protective layer having a second electrode, and a piezoelectric fiber layer formed between the first and the second electrode and having piezoelectric fibers arranged in the longitudinal direction of the composite, wherein the piezoelectric fibers include a single-crystal piezoelectric material and are configured such that a <011> direction of the single crystal is identical to a thickness direction of the composite and a <001> direction of the single crystal is identical to a longitudinal direction of the composite, thus exhibiting superior piezoelectric strain properties and sensing properties. Also, the magnetoelectric laminate composite includes the piezoelectric fiber composite and a magnetostrictive layer including a magnetostrictive material such as nickel (Ni) or Metglas (FeBSi alloy), thus ensuring significantly improved magnetoelectric properties.
Orthopedic brace having a support member and an adapted pad
An orthopedic brace is provided having a pliable pad and a rigid support member. The pad is fabricated from a laminate and has an integrally formed raised region and mesh section. The mesh section has a plurality of void spaces extending through the laminate which freely permit air flow therethrough. The support member has an open ventilation window extending through it which freely permits air flow therethrough. The support member overlays the pad with the ventilation window aligned with the underlying mesh section to freely permit air flow through the support member and pad via the aligned ventilation window and mesh section.
Electrode assembly, battery cell, manufacturing method of electrode assembly, and manufacturing method of battery cell
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing an electrode assembly, the method including: preparing an electrode laminate including at least one negative electrode, at least one positive electrode, and at least one separation film; generating a separation film assembly by bonding remaining portions of the separation film positioned in regions not corresponding to shapes of the negative electrode and the positive electrode; and cutting the separation film assembly so as to correspond to the shapes of the negative electrode and the positive electrode, and an electrode assembly manufactured by the method.
Solar cell assembly and method of bonding a solar cell component to a flexible support
A solar cell assembly and a method of bonding a solar cell component to a flexible support are disclosed. The solar cell assembly comprises a flexible support with a predetermined size, a solar cell component, bonding adhesive between the support and the solar cell component, wherein the support with the predetermined size has substantially uniform borders of 0.003 inches to 0.2 inches in width extending beyond the edges of the solar cell component.
Absorbent articles having antimicrobial properties and methods of manufacturing the same
According to one embodiment, an absorbent article includes a moisture-impervious outer layer, an inner layer substantially co-extensive with the outer layer, and an absorbent layer interposed between the outer layer and the inner layer. The inner layer is treated with at one least substance including dimethicone and/or at least one antimicrobial booster. The absorbent layer is treated with at least one antimicrobial agent.
