Device, strap and garment for treating skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders and for repairing sports injury, and method for making same
A device (1) includes a first web of soft material (5), a projecting structure integral with the web and including multiple discrete projecting elements. The projecting elements include pieces of foam (3) spaced apart form one another and integral with the first web (5). The pieces of foam are compressed between the first web (5) and a second web (7) of soft material, the two webs mutually adhering between the projecting elements. The device is useful for treating various types of edemas and excessive tissue infiltration, as well as for repairing sports injury.
Process for laminating works together
An object of the present invention is to provide a process for laminating works together that are capable of giving laminates a high bonding strength ensured therein. The process for laminating works together laminates a work composed of a resin to a work composed of a resin or glass, the process including a surface activation step of treating a laminating surface of at least the work composed of a resin with vacuum ultraviolet ray or with atmospheric pressure plasma, and a bonding step of bonding together the two works stacked on each other such that a laminating surface of one of the works abuts a laminating surface of the other work, wherein in the surface activation step, the treatment of the laminating surfaces with vacuum ultraviolet ray or with atmospheric pressure plasma is terminated when an accumulated treatment quantity of the vacuum ultraviolet ray or the atmospheric pressure plasma applied to the laminating surfaces is within an initial drop range shown in a variation curve of a water contact angle on the laminating surfaces with respect to the accumulated treatment quantity.
Automated door assembly system and method
The present invention is directed to a method of making a door having first and second door facings and an internal doorframe. An interior side of a first facing is coated with quick acting adhesive. A frame is placed on the coated interior side about the periphery of the first facing. The frame is then coated with quick acting adhesive. An interior side of a second facing is placed on the coated frame. The facings and frame assembly are then compressed to form a door. The present invention also provides for an automated system of making the door.
Method of producing a composite multi-layered printed absorbent article
A method for producing a composite multi-layered absorbent article. At least two of the layers include a colored region.

Multi-layer decorating element
A multi-layer decorating element includes a base and a plurality of plates forming decorative elements. The base has a length between the first and second ends thereof and an increased width from the first end to the second end. The first end of the base is curved. The second end of the base is divided by a gap into two segments. The gap has a closed end and an open end. The open end is disposed at the second end of the base. The closed end has a smaller width than the open end. The plurality of plates includes a side with a hot melt glue layer and is hot pressed on a side of the base. The plurality of plates is disposed within peripheral edges of the base and includes a plurality of overlapped sections. The plurality of plates has different shapes.
TAPE CARRIER ASSEMBLIES HAVING AN INTEGRATED ADHESIVE FILM
Introduced here are carrier tape assemblies that can improve efficiency and reduce costs when utilized in the handling, transport, or storage of semiconductor components. A carrier tape assembly can include an adhesive film affixed to an elongated and/or extruded carrier tape. For example, the adhesive film may be integrally laminated onto the top surface of the elongate carrier tape as a single continuous (i.e., unbroken) sheet. The adhesive film may substantially conform to the top surface of the elongate carrier tape, including any punched cavities for holding semiconductor components. Proper securement of the semiconductor components to the carrier tape assembly depends on the adhesive property of the constituent material(s) of the adhesive film.

COLLECTION DEVICE AND MATERIAL
Swabs, materials, and methods of making same, include randomly arranged sea-island bicomponent fibers. According to certain embodiments, swabs and methods of using such swabs are provided so as to collect and release a biological sample comprising a flock fiber tipped applicator wherein the flock fibers are sea-island bicomponent fibers attached to an end portion of the applicator with an adhesive selected from the group consisting of a photocurable acrylic adhesive and a polyurethane adhesive, the bicomponent fibers being structurally stable in water and the sea component of the bicomponent flock fibers being intact.
COLLECTION DEVICE AND MATERIAL
Swabs, materials and methods of making the same include randomly arranged sea-island bicomponent fibers which have randomly splayed terminal ends. According to certain embodiments, swabs are provide which include an applicator, and sea-island bicomponent fibers attached to the applicator, wherein at least about 70% of the fibers comprise randomly splayed terminal ends of the islands of said bicomponent fibers along a length of about 45% or less from said ends, and wherein the bicomponent fibers comprise 10-3000 island parts per fiber.
