System for applying a web around a cylindrical object with even tension
A system for applying a web around a cylindrical object with even tension containing a core having a generally cylindrical shape and a pair of handles. Each handle has an insertion area, a collar area, and a gripping area. The collar area is sandwiched between the insertion area and the gripping area and the insertion diameter is less than the inner diameter of the core at the first end and second end. The handles and core have a means for coupling meaning that the core and the insertion area of the handles do not move independently from one another.
Flexible Material Dispenser
A dispensing device configured to operate with an adhesive backed mesh and backing film for tissue bonding is disclosed. The dispensing device provides for low-friction, low force pay-out of a desired length of an adhesive backed mesh to a wound site. The device prevents or eliminates distortion of the mesh prior to application to the wound site, and includes means for reducing or eliminating binding during use. The dispensing device is configured to operate in a forward mode (substrate to which mesh is applied passes beneath applicator after mesh is applied) to provide essentially an unobstructed view of the wound site during use.
Mesh dispenser
A dispensing device configured to operate with an adhesive backed mesh and backing film for tissue bonding is disclosed. The dispensing device provides for low-friction, low force pay-out of a desired length of an adhesive backed mesh to a wound site. The device prevents or eliminates distortion of the mesh prior to application to the wound site, and includes means for reducing or eliminating binding during use. The dispensing device is configured to operate in a forward mode (substrate to which mesh is applied passes beneath applicator after mesh is applied) to provide essentially an unobstructed view of the wound site during use.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR INSTALLING A COATING SHEET OVER WELDED END SECTIONS OF PIPELINE
A pipe joint coating for welded ends of pipes forming a pipeline. A last and third layer of a 3LPP coating system covering at least a circumferential weld area of the pipe joint is a heated sheet applied around the pipe with a machine including a mounting frame and a transport carriage rotatably movable on the mounting frame to move circumferentially about the pipe joint, and a roller applying an adjusted pressure to the sheet against the pipe and adapting to eccentricity or ovality of the pipe. The sheet is pressed below the pipe away from its overlapping ends, a first part of the sheet is then applied when the roller is rolled in a first direction, and a second part of the sheet is applied by the roller rolled back in the reverse direction around the pipe. The sheet is dimensioned to obtain an overlapped area between its extremities.
Processing method and processing apparatus for coating a surface portion
A method for coating a surface portion of a plate-like workpiece with a coating material is disclosed, wherein the workpiece is formed at least partially of wood, wood materials, plastic materials and the like, wherein the method includes coating the surface portion of the workpiece with a coating material by use of a coating unit, wherein the surface portion is formed in a coating direction with an angle that changes with respect to the plane of the workpiece at an angle of 0<<90 with respect to the plane, and has a curvature in the coating direction, and mechanically adjusting the coating unit during processing such that the position of the coating unit with respect to that part of the surface portion that is currently being processed is constant. Also disclosed is an apparatus having a control device for carrying out this method.
DEPOSITING DEVICE FOR FIBER ROVINGS
A device for producing textile planar structures formed of a plurality of portions deposited beside one another of fiber rovings. A supply device provides a fiber rovings at a transfer installation. A plurality of path guiding rails are disposed beside one another and above the depositing face. A gripper unit and a cutting unit are disposed on each path guiding rail. Each gripper unit and each cutting unit is movable and positionable along the path guiding rail independently of the gripper units and cutting units of the other path guiding rails. The gripper units grab the fiber roving from the transfer installation and move their free end to a desired terminal position. The cutting units severs the rovings at a cutting position. The gripper units and the cutting units have a downholder for pressing the fiber roving against the depositing face.
System and method for sealing open ends of multi-wall sheets
A device and a method allow for adhering sealing tape to open end of a multilayer sheet, usable at the production line and at the installation site. The device comprise means for applying pressure and heat onto the sealing tape and cutting blades for removing protruding edges of the sealing tape after it was adhered. The method comprise providing of a sealing tape, attaching and adhering the sealing tape to an open end of a multi-wall sheet by means of heat and/or pressure and adhesive and removal of protruding edges using cutting blades.
Fiber placement system
A fiber placement system is provided. The fiber placement system provides a plurality of working zones relative to a common gantry system. Such a configuration permits for the use of one working zone while another working zone is loaded/unloaded with parts. Also provided is a method for manufacturing composite parts using a fiber placement system having a plurality of working zones arranged relative to a common gantry.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF POST-CURE PROCESSING OF COMPOSITE CORE
A method of cutting a wafer of composite core from a bulk composite core includes stabilizing the bulk composite core with a fixture, the bulk composite core having a plurality of tube members. The method also includes cutting through each of the tube members to create the wafer while the bulk composite core is stabilized by the fixture.
