BUILD MATERIAL HANDLING UNIT FOR A POWDER MODULE FOR AN APPARATUS FOR ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURING THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECTS
Build material handling unit for a powder module for an apparatus for additively manufacturing three-dimensional objects, which apparatus is adapted to successively layerwise selectively irradiate and consolidate layers of a build material which can be consolidated by means of an energy source, wherein the build material handling unit is coupled or can be coupled with a powder module, wherein the build material handling unit is adapted to level and/or compact a volume of build material arranged inside a powder chamber of the powder module by controlling the gas pressure inside the powder chamber.
Automated door assembly, press, and adhesive therefor
A system and method for making a door having first and second door skins and an internal frame. The top and bottom surfaces of the frame are coated with an adhesive and the frame is placed on a first door skin. The second door skin is then placed on the opposite surface of the frame. The assembled components are then pressed to bond the first and second door skins to the frame with a pressed having platens. Movable shims may be used to vary the pressed force and pressing area.
Monitoring discharge pressure on concrete mix load
Disclosed are method and system for treating concrete in mixing drums of delivery vehicles having automated rheology (e.g., slump) monitoring systems programmed to dose fluids into concrete based on the monitored rheology. The present invention takes into account a Revolution-To-Discharge value (RTD) which reflects drum rotations needed to move concrete towards and through the mixing drum opening from which concrete is discharged, and also takes into consideration a Volume-Per-Revolution-Upon-Discharge (VPRUD) value which reflects the relation between the rate of discharge and rheology (e.g., slump) of concrete upon discharge. The invention is especially useful for reclaiming concrete in the drum after delivery and can confirm rheology based upon peak (maximum) discharge pressure. The present inventors found surprisingly that discharge pressure readings are useful for recalibrating automated rheology monitoring systems as well as for reporting and/or treating the remainder concrete.
ANALYTIC SUBSTRATE COATING APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and method for producing a coated analytic substrate using a compact and portable automated instrument located in the laboratory setting at the point of use which can consistently produce one or a plurality of coated analytic substrates on demand for using the analytic substrate immediately after coating, preferably without a step of rinsing the coated analytic substrate before use. The apparatus preferably uses applicator cartridges having a reservoir containing the coating compositions used to form the coatings. Preferably the cartridges are removable and interchangeable to facilitate the production of individual analytic substrates having different coatings or different coating patterns. These coated analytic substrates have superior specimen adhesion characteristics due to the improved quality of the coatings applied by the coating apparatus and due to the quickness with which the coated analytic substrates can be used in the lab after production.
Bonded member manufacturing apparatus and method of manufacturing bonded member
To prevent misalignment between substrates and distortion of surface, and to keep film thickness uniformity of thin substrate when two substrates are bonded for bonded member, bonded member manufacturing apparatus of bonding first substrate and second substrate, comprising resin film forming means for forming liquid state resin film on the first substrate, semi-curing means for maintaining outer peripheral section of resin film in uncured state and curing inner section surrounded with outer peripheral section in semi-cured state, and substrate bonding means for bonding first substrate and second substrate by bringing second substrate into contact with resin film, such that one end of outer peripheral section is determined as starting point of contact so that boundary line between contact portion and noncontact portion moves in one direction from starting point to opposite end of outer peripheral section while applying pressing force to second substrate.
Three-Dimensional Printing Processes Using 1,1-Di-Activated Vinyl Compounds
A process for producing an article by three-dimensional printing includes applying a 1,1-di-activated vinyl compound-containing liquid binder over a predetermined area of a layer of solid particles. The liquid binder infiltrates gaps between the solid particles to form a first cross-sectional layer of an article, and the 1,1-di-activated vinyl compound reacts to solidify the liquid binder and bind the solid particles in the first cross-sectional layer of the article. Also provided is an article produced by the three-dimensional printing process, set forth herein.
Application device for applying adhesive, and adhesive application method
An application method of an application device configured to apply an adhesive to an object. The method includes applying, prior to applying the adhesive to a specified part of the object, the adhesive to a part different from the specified part, calculating an application quantity of the adhesive applied to the part different from the specified part, making a first correction configured to correct an application condition of the adhesive based on a result of the calculation, and applying the adhesive to the specified part using the application condition corrected in the first correction.
FISHING ROD
A fishing rod that includes an elongated, tapered rod blank at least a portion of which is quadrilateral in cross section, the quadrilateral portion of the rod blank diminishing in cross-sectional area toward a tip end of the rod blank, the quadrilateral portion of the rod blank comprising a sandwich-structured composite of a core disposed between facings, the core less dense than the facings, the quadrilateral portion of rod blank less stiff in a casting direction than transverse to the casting direction; fishing line guides mounted at intervals along the length of the rod blank; a reel seat mounted at the base end of the rod blank; and a handle mounted at the base end of the rod blank adjacent to the reel seat.
ADHESIVE APPLICATOR
An adhesive applicator includes an actuation axle, a first hub unit, a second hub unit, a plurality of elastic members, and a pliable dispenser web. The first and second hub units are mounted on the actuation axle to be spaced apart from each other, and to rotate with the actuation axle about a rotation axis. Each of the elastic members is disposed between the first and second hub units, and has a radial elastic force relative to the rotation axis. The pliable dispenser web is configured to wrap around the elastic members, and can be deformed in compliance with a topology of an attachment region of a shoe component against the radial elastic force.
