Protective material applicator device

Devices, methods and systems disclosed herein relate to the application of a protective film on a surface of an electronic device that instantly reduces air bubbles and eliminates the waiting time usually required when using a wet fluid solution. In one embodiment, a roller device may include a carriage or housing and one or more rollers coupled or integrated with the housing, configured to apply a protective material to a surface of the electronic device in a first orientation, and configured to function as a device stand in a second orientation. In addition or alternatively, a roller guide apparatus and/or a wedge may be utilized to assist the roller device in applying the protective material to the surface of the electronic device.

Fixture for use with a medical device label printing system

Fixtures for use with medical device label printing systems are disclosed. An example fixture may include a housing designed to be coupled to a printing device. The housing may have an input region for receiving a media (e.g., that may include a backing portion and a label portion) and a return region. A separating member may be disposed within the housing. The separating member may be designed for separating the label portion from the backing portion. The separating member may be designed to shift between a first configuration where the separating member engages the media in order to separate the label portion from the backing portion and a second configuration where the separating member is positioned away from engagement with the media. The fixture may also include an actuator for shifting the separating member between the first configuration and the second configuration.

PROTECTIVE SYSTEMS FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICES

A system for protecting a surface of a substrate includes a protective film, which is configured to be applied and secured to the surface, as well as a backing on an adherent surface of the protective film and an application tape over an exterior surface of the protective film. Protruding features, such as tabs, adjacent to different peripheral edges of the protective film may enable removal of the backing and the application tape from the protective film, and may include features that indicate the order in which each protruding feature is to be grasped to peel its corresponding element away from the protective film.

LABEL PEELING DEVICE

An object of the present invention is to make it possible to easily remove a carrier film when removing the carrier film from a gasket body in a carrier-film-equipped gasket, which includes a combination of a rubber-only type gasket body and a resinous carrier film that retains the gasket body, even if the gasket body is adhered to the carrier film. To fulfill the object, a step for peeling, against an adhesive force, the carrier film from the gasket body in a state in which the gasket body is fixed to a base, is carried out. As a preliminary step of the peeling step, the gasket body is pressed from the carrier film side by a pressing device thereby to decrease the adhesion area between the gasket body and the carrier film, and the peeling step is carried out in a state in which the adhesion area has been decreased.

A display protector attachment apparatus for a foldable electronic device according to the present disclosure includes: a frame unit including a frame-first end member at one end and a frame-second end member at another end and configured to support and accommodate the foldable electronic device between the frame-first end member and the frame-second end member; and an inclination-forming fixing unit connected to the frame-second end member and configured to align a protector film assembly to be arranged inclinedly with respect to the foldable display unit of the foldable electronic device by varying mounting heights for both ends of the protector film assembly including a display protector that is to be attached to the foldable electronic device.

Combination printer and cutting apparatus

A combination printer and cutting device for printing upon and cutting a web of media or tag stock into individual units. The device may cut vinyl, plastic, or RFID stock material as it moves through the printer in both back and forth directions. The device comprises a printer and a cutting apparatus that is further comprised of a carriage assembly and a movable cutter assembly. The cutter assembly is easily interchangeable and comprises a cutting element such as a wheel blade, and a pressure adjusting element for adjusting the amount of pressure applied by the cutting element to the stock material. Alternatively, the cutter assembly may be manufactured with a predetermined pressure load, but still permit an operator to adjust the depth of cut. The cutting apparatus is adaptable for use with both new and existing printers.

Film application method

The present invention provides a film application method that can prevent entry of foreign substances and air bubbles between the film and the application target even when the film is applied in a general environment in which foreign substances such as dust are floating. The film application method is a film application method that applies a functional film to a substrate, the method including the steps of: (1) applying a first adhesive layer to the substrate, with a foreign-substance-removing unit including the first adhesive layer and a first film being overlaid onto a main unit including a second film, a second adhesive layer, and the functional film; and (2) while peeling off both the foreign-substance-removing unit and the second film, with one end of the functional film fixed to the substrate, by pulling ends of the foreign-substance-removing unit and the second film adjacent to the fixed end of the functional film through between the substrate and the functional film, applying the second adhesive layer exposed by removal of the second film to the surface of the substrate exposed by removal of the foreign-substance-removing unit.
