Container top punch apparatus
12172286 · 2024-12-24 ·

A container top punch apparatus which is suitable for forming an air pressure equalization opening in a beverage or other liquid dispensing container for equalization of air pressure between the interior and exterior of the container may include an apparatus housing. A punch assembly may include a punch shaft slidably disposed in the apparatus housing. The punch shaft may be retractable in a pre-punching position in the apparatus housing and extendable from the apparatus housing to a punching position. A punch spring may be disposed in the apparatus housing. The punch spring may apply a punching force to the punch shaft and normally bias the punch shaft in the punching position. A finger lever may engage the punch shaft. The finger lever may be operable to facilitate digital retention of the punch shaft in the pre-punching position and digital release of the punch shaft for deployment of the punch shaft from the pre-punching position to the punching position via the punching force, responsive to operation of the punch spring.

A presser assembly is provided in which a presser plate or presser board mounting adapter is clamped to a lower end of a presser stem. A rail having a lower channel and an upper channel is provided for clamping the presser plate or presser board mounting adapter to the stem, and more particularly, a presser foot coupled to the lower end of the stem. The present invention allows the presser plate or the presser board mounting adapter to be mounted to the stem without the use of tools or fasteners.

SPLITTING APPARATUS OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY (LCD) AND SPLITTING METHOD THEREOF
20170036369 · 2017-02-09 ·

A splitting apparatus of an LCD panel and splitting method thereof are described. The LCD panel has a first substrate and a second substrate. The splitting apparatus includes a first splitting device and a second splitting device disposed correspondingly to the first splitting device, and the second splitting device includes protrusion adjustment devices. The protrusion adjustment device extrudes the second substrate for forming a protrusion corresponding to a split line to separate a split plate from the first substrate by a deformation portion of the protrusion and to remove the split plate by the first splitting device. The splitting apparatus makes a rapid separation of the split plate.

Separation apparatuses for separating sheets of brittle material and methods for separating sheets of brittle material

Methods and apparatuses for separating sheets of brittle material are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a separation apparatus for separating a sheet of brittle material includes a first separation cam positioned adjacent to a sheet conveyance pathway and a second separation cam positioned opposite from and downstream of the first separation cam. The first and second separation cams may be rotated such that the contact faces of the separation cams periodically extend across a centerline of the conveyance pathway. Rotation of the first and second separation cams may be synchronized such that at least the portion of the contact face of the first separation cam and at least the portion of the contact face of the second separation cam periodically extend across the centerline of the conveyance pathway at a separation time and periodically do not extend across the centerline of the conveyance pathway at a non-separation time.

Safety glass breaker

An automobile safety glass breaker tool is held against an automobile safety glass window and fired to break the window. The tool is armed by sliding a firing pin piston to the rear against a spring and fired by releasing the firing pin piston. The firing pin piston hits a 0.22 blank cartridge to fire the blank cartridge. The blank cartridge drives a striker piston forward, and a striker point on the striker piston impacts and shatters the automobile safety glass window. The striker point is limited to reach about 0.06 inches forward and out of the tool to prevent injury to a user.
