METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR TREATING AND/OR PREVENTING MUCOSITIS
Methods for treating and/or preventing mucositis comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of at least one compound chosen from E-selectin antagonists, pharmaceutically acceptable salts of E-selectin antagonists, prodrugs of E-selectin antagonists, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts of prodrugs of E-selectin antagonists, and compositions comprising at least one of such compound.

ANGIOGENIC TREATMENT OF ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE
Devices, methods, systems and procedures for localized, targeted treatment of angiogenic-based therapy in at least one region of interest in one or more layers of cardiac tissue. Various methods can include diagnosing a patient with ischemic heart disease or “at-risk” of manifesting ischemic heart disease, placing the patient into a specific angiogenic-based treatment therapy group, collecting image data, confirming image data and other diagnostic test results, developing a preoperative plan to target region of interest, inserting the catheter into a heart chamber, monitoring the distal end of the catheter tip within the heart on a visual display, contacting at least one layer of cardiac tissue, creating one or more channels in the heart tissue and/or administering the angiogenic-based therapy.
THERAPEUTIC ANGIOGENESIS FOR WOUND HEALING
Methods for detecting, imaging, analyzing, diagnosing and/or treating cutaneous conditions and dermatoses such as disorders of the skin, subcutaneous tissues, mucous membranes, poorly vascularized tissues and/or other tissue disorders, including erosions, fissures, transient and/or chronic sores, burns, wounds, ulcers, lesions and infections. In particular embodiments, treatments include methods for improving skin and related tissue healing and repair, offloading of damaged tissues and/or increasing angiogenesis in response to specifically diagnosed conditions.
Method for inducing production of vascular endothelial growth factor
The present invention relates to a method for inducing production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). The method includes administering, to an individual, a composition including adeno-associated virus (AAV) carrying a hPGIS gene coding for human prostacyclin synthase (hPGIS) which synthesizes prostaglandin I.sub.2 (PGI.sub.2).

Methods for treating back or neck pain caused by NGF using a therapeutic agent consisting of ReN-1820, ALE-0540 and capsaicin
The invention provides a method for alleviating discogenic pain by administering a therapeutic agent that disrupts neuronal and/or vascular elements in the disc, which is typically a degenerated disc. Disruption of neuronal elements in the disk includes destroying nerve endings without substantially affecting the central body of the nerve, suppressing activation of the nerve endings, and inhibiting the growth of nerve endings into the disk. Disruption of vascular elements includes causing the vascular extensions to retract from the disk, or suppressing the formation of such extensions. The therapeutic agent may be administered locally via an interbody pump, a bolus or a depot, or may be administered systemically.
Recombinant human-basic fibroblast growth factor (rh-bFGF) and pharmaceutical composition comprising rh-bFGF
Provided are a mutated nucleic acid molecule of a recombinant human-basic fibroblast growth factor (rh-bFGF), a pharmaceutical composition of the rh-bFGF, and a use thereof.
