Device for connecting a steering column to a steering gear housing
A device configured to operably couple a steering column to a steering gear housing. The device includes a shaft, a clamping collar and a clamping screw. The clamping collar includes two arms arranged relative to one another so as to define a cavity. The cavity presents an entry zone and a coupling zone into which the shaft is inserted, the shaft first entering the entry zone then entering the coupling zone. The shaft is secured in position by tightening the clamping screw to a set torque, the entry zone being dimensioned in relation to the coupling zone so as to inhibit achieving the set torque of the clamping screw when the shaft is inserted into the entry zone only, and not the coupling zone.
Component connection
A component connection is provided. The component connection has a first component, at least a first male fixing element projecting from the first component, and a second component, the second component has at least a female fixing element, into which the male fixing element is fitted. At least the first component consists of a fiber-reinforced plastic material.
Assembly for Clamping and Grounding Objects
In various representative aspects, an apparatus for clamping and grounding an upper and lower solar panel mounting rail is disclosed herein. The apparatus comprises a fastener with an enlarged end, and a shank, with the enlarged end having one or more sharp protrusions that resemble teeth, and a washer with one or more sharp protrusions, and an opening. When installed, the shank is inserted through the opening of the washer, the sharp protrusions of the enlarged end penetrate either the lower or upper mounting rail and the sharp protrusions of the washer penetrate the other mounting rail while at the same time creating a grounding path through the apparatus.
Method for connecting two vehicle components and/or two non-vehicle components
A method is provided for connecting a first component to a second component. The two components are placed against each other and pre-fixed, wherein the two components are attached and immovably connected to each other at at least one first connection point via a first detachable component connection and are attached and connected to each other so as to be movable relative to each other in a sliding direction at at least one second connection point via a second detachable component connection. The pre-fixed components are rigidly connected, in particular, by welding.
Tool holder
A tool holder comprises a cage assembly having a pair of axially spaced hollow members with axially aligned through openings sized for axial extension of tool handles of different sizes and shapes through both of the aligned openings. A cradle member is transversely movable in opposite directions between the hollow members toward and away from respective inwardly facing wall surfaces of the hollow members for releasably clamping tool handles extending through both aligned openings against the inwardly facing wall surfaces.
Assembly for clamping and grounding objects
An apparatus for clamping and grounding an upper and lower solar panel mounting rail.
Hollow shaft coupling
A hollow shaft coupling for connecting a shaft to a hollow shaft, where the hollow shaft coupling can be arranged completely in the hollow shaft and can effect clamping both radially inwardly as well as radially outwardly. The coupling enables a first clamping unit to clamp the hollow shaft coupling radially inwardly against the shaft and a second clamping unit which is separate from the first clamping unit to clamp the hollow shaft coupling radially outwardly against the inner circumferential surface of the hollow shaft, with the two clamping units spaced apart from one another axially, and the two clamping units connected to one another via a play-free and rotationally stable coupling which is arranged between them.
Sway brace attachment
A sway brace attachment for firmly connecting to a beam and other flanged structures, and a method for manufacturing the sway brace attachment. The sway brace attachment includes a main body and an insert that is captured within the main body by a pair of set screws which also engage the flange. Preferably, a third set screw is supported by the main body and engages the opposite side of the flange from the pair of set screws. The main body can be generally rectangular in shape, with a top wall, a pair of side walls extending from the top wall and a pair of bottom walls, which extend inwardly from respective side walls in an overlapping relationship. The sway brace attachment can be used for bracing pipes and other loads, suspended below ceilings and floors, against sway and seismic disturbances.
Musical percussion drum mounting clamp and related system
In some aspects, a musical percussion instrument includes a musical drum having a generally cylindrical musical drum body and a sound generating surface secured to an upper end of the drum body by multiple drum lugs and a drum mounting clamp mounted to one drum lug of the multiple drum lugs for releasable mounting of a mounting rod to the drum body. The drum mounting clamp includes a mounting base for mounting upon the musical drum body. The mounting base has a mounting rod recess and a securement element to secure the drum clamp to a mounting rod, arranging the musical drum body relative to the mounting rod.
Brake system module removably attachable to a vehicle
An anti-lock brake system module for a trailer or dolly, including a module panel having a front side and a back side facing in an opposite direction to the front side, a plurality of anti-lock brake system components, at least a portion of the components attached to the front side of the module panel and at least a portion of the components attached to the back side of the module panel, the plurality of anti-lock brake system components including an anti-lock brake valve and an electronic control unit, and a mounting element for removably connecting the module panel to a mounting location, such as an I-beam, of the trailer or dolly.
