Fastener and Method for Fastening to Associated Structural Assembly
A fastener for fastening a drill jig to overlapping work pieces and clamping the overlapping work pieces for facilitating accurate drilling of the overlapping work pieces including a fastener body and a damper assembly operatively connected to the fastener body. The damper assembly is configured to enable application of a first load to the drill jig, and the fastener body is configured to enable application of a second load to the overlapping work pieces when the fastener fastens the drill jig to the overlapping work pieces. The first load is less than the second load. The first load is sufficient to hold the drill jig to the overlapping work pieces during drilling but without causing significant deformation of the drill jig. The second load is sufficient to reduce the formation of burrs during drilling of a hole through the overlapping working pieces.
Steering knuckle drilling device
Disclosed is a steering knuckle drilling device, including a drilling machine, a bottom plate, guide rails, hydraulic cylinders, fixtures, a support post and a support block. When in use, the present invention can simultaneously drill the left and right symmetric workpieces of a steering knuckle and can conveniently install and dismount the workpieces.
Method and apparatus of hot tapping multiple coaxial or nested strings of underwater piping and/or tubing for overturned wells or platforms
A method and apparatus for tapping into a pressurized multiple strings of coaxially situated tubulars for wells and/or platforms which have overturned wherein the tapping occurs underwater via a diver or remotely operated vehicle. The assembly includes a tapping tool connectable to the tubular via a saddle connection and an adjustable tapping clamp with adjustable support/locking feet, compression plate with view ports, and angularly adjustable hot tapping system, along with a drill/saw system.
CORING MACHINE AND RELATED METHODS
In one respect, the invention is a coring machine for removing portions of food item blanks, the coring machine comprising a plate assembly for holding the food item blanks and a pair of coring assemblies, each comprised of a plurality of coring bits that are aligned with passages in the plate assembly.
Transfer center for machining at least one workpiece
A transfer center for machining at least one workpiece is disclosed, having a machine frame, having a plurality of preferably stationary machining spindles arranged in the machine frameparticularly in a machining head, having a workpiece carrier on which at least one workpiece to be machined is arranged by means of a respective clamping device, and having a workpiece manipulator arranged in the machine frame, onto which workpiece manipulator the workpiece carrier is flange-mounted and which is movable by drive means in at least one spatial direction in relation to the machine frame. To achieve a high machining accuracy in parallel machining, according to one proposal, the transfer centerin order to compensate for a deviation between the actual position and the desired position of the workpiece or workpieceshas a position compensation system with at least two pressure elements situated between the workpiece or workpieces and the machine frame, whose operating directions enclose an angle with each other.
Pocket hole drilling machine
A pocket hole drilling machine is presented. The pocket hole drilling machine has a cabinet made of a molded unitary monolithic piece. A monolithic top plate is connected to the cabinet with an opening in the middle for an insert plate which is positioned therein. A handle extends above the top plated as does a clamping assembly however actuating mechanics of the device move within the cabinet, thereby improving safety by eliminating pinchpoints. An adjustable fence assembly having cam locks connected thereto is also connected to the top plate. This arrangement provides a low cost, safe and efficient pocket hole drilling machine.
ARTICULATING DRILL METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CUTTING OPENINGS IN NESTED STRINGS OF UNDERWATER PIPING AND OR TUBING FOR OVERTURNED WELLS OR PLATFORMS
A method and apparatus for angularly drilling during a tapping procedure into a pressurized multiple strings of coaxially situated tubulars for wells and/or platforms which have overturned wherein the tapping occurs underwater via a diver or remotely operated vehicle.
Ratcheting quick-adjust drilling jig
A quick adjust ratcheting pocket hole jig is presented. The pocket hole jig has a base with a removable upright connected thereto. A guide assembly is slidably received within the upright. Removable and replaceable side supports are connected to the base by way of a dove tail joint. Removable and replaceable adjustable stops are connected to the base by way of key holes. A clamp assembly is connected to the base having a handle portion and a clamp follower. The clamp follower has a ratcheting mechanism and a compressible plunger assembly. The clamp follower can quickly be adjusted using a button on the clamp follower that disengages the ratcheting member such that it can be quickly adjusted. When the handle is operated, it draws the clamp follower towards the upright and guide assembly compressing the spring loaded plunger assembly thereby quickly and tightly and adjustably holding a workpiece therebetween.
