Door lock set installation kit
A kit for assisting in the location of holes to be drilled in a door of a thickness between 1 to 1 for the installation of a conventional lock set at a backset of either 2 or 2 with no additional hardware and without damaging the door. A first guide plate defines a first hole saw guide. A second guide plate is attachable to the first guide plate in one of two orientations and defines a second hole saw guide. At least one clamping member is carried by the second guide plate and extends substantially parallel to the first guide plate. Each of the first guide plate and the clamping member define opposing biasing members such that when mounted on a door, the door is centered within the kit.
Open Latarjet for correction of anterior-inferior glenoid bone loss
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to instrumentation that facilitate coracoid-glenoid fixation in Latarjet procedures. For example, a single instrument, a coracoid resection tool, may be provided/utilized to prepare a coracoid bone graft for size, flatness, and hole drilling. A glenoid drill guide may further be provided/utilized that uses sized offsets for placement of the coracoid graft flush with the glenoid. Further embodiments of the disclosure are directed to corresponding methods that employ this instrumentation. For example, a surgeon may employs the coracoid resection tool as a guide to plane the inferior coracoid surface that will serve as the coracoid graft surface. The coracoid resection tool may further guide the placement of coracoid holes along the length of the coracoid and orient the holes approximately perpendicular to the planed coracoid graft surface. For example a proximal coracoid hole may be positioned towards the proximal end (i.e., the cut end) of the resected coracoid while a distal coracoid hole may be positioned towards the distal end (i.e., the tip) of the resected coracoid.
Drill bit holding assembly for jig and jig apparatus including the same
The invention relates to a drill hold assembly and a jig including the same. The drill hold assembly includes an engaging means which is selectively moveable between a released position to allow sliding movement of the drill bit with respect thereto and an engaged position in which the drill bit is held in a fixed position or within a predefined range of movement with respect to the engaging block to thereby maintain the drill bit in location with the drill hold assembly. The jig apparatus can be used with a powered drill to rotate the drill bit to provide a driving force to the drill bit and the jig is attached to a support surface and a workpiece is positioned between first and second jaws of the jig and the drill bit is advanced along a guide and introduced into the workpiece to form a hole therein at a predefined angle. The drill bit can then be removed from the hole and the drill bit is held by the drill hold assembly to retain the drill bit in a fixed position with respect to the jig to thereby allow relative movement of the jig apparatus and workpiece whilst the drill bit is retained in position with the jig apparatus.
HUMERAL FIXATION PLATE GUIDES
An anchor trajectory guide and methods of use thereof are provided. The guide includes a body that has a medial side. The medial side can be placed over a lateral side of a fixation plate. The anchor trajectory guide also includes a locator and a plurality of guide apertures. The locator is disposed on or through the medial side of the body. The locator can be mated with the fixation plate. The guide apertures are disposed through the body at positions corresponding to define anchor locations and orientations to provide good purchase adjacent to or in cortical bone around a medial side of a humerus.
Articulating drill method and apparatus for cutting openings in nested strings of underwater piping and or tubing for overturned wells or platforms
A method and apparatus for angularly drilling during a tapping procedure into a pressurized multiple strings of coaxially situated tubulars for wells and/or platforms which have overturned wherein the tapping occurs underwater via a diver or remotely operated vehicle.
Drilling aid apparatus and a method for drilling a structure
Drilling aid apparatuses and methods for drilling a structure are provided. In one example, a drilling aid apparatus includes a bushing holder portion. The bushing holder portion has a first surface for facing a first structure portion, a second surface on a side opposite the first surface, and an opening formed through the bushing holder portion extending from the first surface to the second surface. The opening is configured to receive a bushing that is sized for guiding a drill bit for drilling into the first structure portion. A first coupling member is coupled to the bushing holder portion and is configured to couple to a second structure portion for supporting the bushing holder portion in a fixed position relative to the first structure portion.
Predrill guide methods
Methods for using Predrill guide tools are disclosed. The predrill guide tools include a body having a vertical planar member with a front side and a back side, a horizontal planar member with a top side, a bottom side and a tapered end, and an angled drill guide with a front face positioned within a vertical plane; two or more ribs extending from a top side of the horizontal planar member, and one or more keels extending vertically from the bottom side of the horizontal planar member. Methods of using the predrill guide tools to drill holes into deck boards for use with deck clips are also disclosed.
