Device for ensuring proper location of a cutout in a sheet of construction material
An apparatus for ensuring proper location for a cutout in a sheet of construction material, to provide for access to an electrical box, includes an electrical box locator device with a body and at least one spike. The body mounts to the front opening of the electrical box and the spike projects perpendicularly relative to the plane of the electrical box opening such that it pierces the sheet of construction material and is visible on the side of the sheet of construction material opposite the side facing the electrical box once the sheet of construction material is positioned over the opening of the electrical box so as to help in locating a cutout in the sheet of construction material for the electrical box.
HOLE CUTTER WITH CHIP EGRESS APERTURE
A hole cutter has a substantially cylindrical blade body defining a blade body circumference, a cutting edge formed on one end of the blade body, and an axially-elongated slot formed through the substantially cylindrical blade body. The axially-elongated slot is configured to receive chips flowing from the cutting edge within the interior of the blade body and (i) into the slot and/or (ii) through the slot, to prevent the collection of such chips within the interior of the blade body and/or at an interface between the blade body and the work piece. The axially-elongated slot defines a first end adjacent to the cutting edge, a second end axially spaced further from the cutting edge, and a slot area. The hole cutter further defines a total slot area to blade body circumference ratio within the range of about 0.1 to about 0.3 depending on the size of the hole cutter.

HOLE SAW
A hole saw includes a cylindrical body having a sidewall with a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The cylindrical body includes a gullet formed in the sidewall between a leading surface, a trailing surface, and a bottom surface of the sidewall. The gullet defines a central longitudinal axis extending between the first and second ends of the sidewall that is obliquely oriented relative to a rotational axis of the hole saw such that the gullet is angled from the first end to the bottom surface in a direction toward a cutting direction of the hole saw. The gullet has a dimension measured parallel to the rotational axis between the first end of the sidewall and the bottom surface of the gullet that is greater than 1.5 inches. The hole saw includes a cutting tooth coupled to the first end of the sidewall adjacent the gullet.
Support assembly for a core drill
A support assembly for a core drill uses an improved reinforcement. The reinforcement can include an extension extending between a center of the tool and a perimeter of the tool the extension can be a non-planar structure having a channel along a portion of the structure. The reinforcement can include a slanted element that can be associated with the extension, that can be formed monolithic with the extension, or otherwise combined with an extension. Multiple slanted elements can be used to form an extension. A top plate can be included for strengthening the reinforcement.
Hole saw
A hole saw includes a substantially cylindrical body defining a cutting end and an axis of rotation. The hole saw also includes first and second apertures formed through the body and spaced from the cutting end such that a portion of the body extends between the cutting end and both the first and second apertures. The first and second apertures are both configured to receive a tool for removing work piece plugs from within the cylindrical body. The first aperture is axially spaced from the cutting end a first distance. The second aperture is axially spaced from the cutting end a second distance that is greater than the first distance. The first aperture and the second aperture are separated by a portion of the body.
Hole saw
A hole saw is movable about a rotational axis in a cutting direction to cut into a workpiece. The hole saw includes a cylindrical body having a sidewall with a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The cylindrical body also includes a gullet formed in the sidewall between a leading surface, a trailing surface, and a bottom surface of the sidewall. The trailing surface defines a portion having a first radius. The bottom surface has a second radius. The first radius is larger than the second radius. The hole saw also includes a cutting tooth coupled to the first end of the sidewall adjacent the gullet.
Drill bit with an exchangeable cutting portion
A drill bit has a cutting portion having an annular portion, where the annular portion has a first end on which is disposed a cutting element and a second end that includes an outer insertion element and a stop shoulder. The drill bit has a drill shaft portion having a cylindrical drill shaft, where the drill shaft has an inner insertion element with an end face on a side of the drill shaft facing the cutting portion. The outer insertion element and the inner insertion element together form a plug connection in an insertion direction that is parallel to the axis of rotation and the insertion elements are connectable to each other via a pin element that is movable into a slot-shaped recess. The pin element is attached to an outside of the inner insertion element and the outer insertion element has the slot-shaped recess.
HOLE SAW
A hole saw including a cylindrical body with an outer wall extending along an axis of rotation from a cap end to a cutting end. The cutting end includes a plurality of cutting teeth disposed continuously around a circumference of the cutting end. The hole saw includes at least one elongated aperture disposed along the outer wall of the cylindrical body that is configured to receive a tool for removing one or more plugs from within the cylindrical body. The at least one elongated aperture has a first slot portion disposed adjacent to the cutting end and substantially parallel to the cap end, a second slot portion connected to the first slot portion at a first end of the second slot portion, and a third slot portion coupled to the second slot portion at a second end of the second slot portion opposite the first end.
