Bolt on drive assembly for a core drill with high strength spoked reinforcer
09573199 · 2017-02-21 · ·

A bolt on drive assembly for a core drill which utilizes an improved high strength spoked reinforcer mounted beneath a disc. The disc and high strength spoke reinforcer are removably mounted on the tube by bolt fasteners. A drive connection is removably mounted and centrally located on a outer disc of the pair of discs. The drive connection is adapted to connect with a drive shaft to cause rotation of the tube. The system can also include a split in the disc when the high strength spoked reinforcer is not welded thereto thereby providing a means of water control. The high strength spoked reinforcer can be a separate piece that is bolted to the disc or can be integrally formed as one piece therewith. An adapter is provided that allows for standard drilling that fits into a recess in the center hub and is removable to expose the recess for attachment to a specialized drill motor, such as an A-flange.

Deburring tool for deburring bore margins

Deburring blade for deburring bore margins with an even or uneven shape, having a base body (1) which is rotatably driven about its longitudinal axis, in which base body at least one bar blade (3) is held exchangeably in a spring-loaded, swivelably mounted blade holder (2) in the base body (1) in a radial bar blade bore (7) of the blade holder (2), and the blade holder (2) is designed as an approximately cylindrical body, which is mounted rotatably in a bearing bore (6) of the base body (1).

Chuck tool and bits
09550237 · 2017-01-24 ·

A tool arrangement and chuck apparatus for quick change of a range of tools; particularly, a quick change chuck adapted to engage various diameter drill bits, tools and tool holders. The tools are rotatable in a chuck or adaptor and have at one end a centering shaft portion having a constant diameter for multiple tool end diameters and shapes, a drive shoulder portion and a lock portion. The chucks have a tool centering arrangement for accommodating the constant diameter centering shaft. The chucks are also described as having tool bit release mechanism operable to disengage the tool from a retention mechanism when a force is applied inwards of the body of the chuck by the user to allow the tool bit to be removed longitudinally from the chuck but also arrange to allow the tool bit to be inserted longitudinally into the chuck without requiring any other user operation.

Twist drill

A twist drill has a shaft and a flute portion, which extends between a drill tip and the shaft and has at least two flutes, which run helically around it at an angle of twist, are separated from one another by two webs and have a land extending between the flutes on the circumference of the flute portion. In order to provide a twist drill that has the features mentioned at the beginning, has better lubrication of the round bevels, less wear, improved guidance and improved concentricity, at least two round bevels that are spaced apart from one another are provided on each land and extend on the land at an angle of inclination in relation to the drill axis that is greater than the angle of twist but less than 90.

Core drill

A bit-removal assembly includes a first ring coupled to an output shaft for co-rotation therewith, a second ring supported on the lower retaining ring of the output shaft, a frusto-conical surface on at least one of the first or second rings, and a wedge positioned between the first and second rings and engaging with the frusto-conical surface. A collar defines a cam surface located radially outward of the wedge. The collar is movable between a locked position, in which the cam surface is engaged with the wedge to displace the wedge radially inward on the frusto-conical surface to separate the second ring from the first ring, and a released position, in which the cam surface is misaligned with the wedge to permit the wedge to move radially outward on the frusto-conical surface. A biasing member urges the collar towards the locked position.
