09748014 · 2017-08-29 · ·

An electrical connection powder comprising particles obtained by pulverizing a skeleton of open cell metal foam chosen from the group consisting of iron, cobalt, nickel and the alloys of same covered with at least one coating of tin or indium or one of the alloys of same. The paste is formed from this powder dispersed in a binder such as grease. The powder or paste is particularity useful for improving the conductivity of an electrical connection consisting of a terminal (20) linked to a cable (24) consisting of a plurality of strands (30, 32, 34) by means of a crimping ring (26).

Iron powder, silicon oxide coated iron powder,, molded article for inductor, and inductor

An iron powder and method of making an iron powder. The method includes a step of neutralizing an acidic aqueous solution containing a trivalent iron ion and a phosphorus-containing ion, with an alkali aqueous solution, so as to provide a slurry of a precipitate of a hydrated oxide, or a step of adding a phosphorus-containing ion to a slurry containing a precipitate of a hydrated oxide obtained by neutralizing an acidic aqueous solution containing a trivalent iron ion with an alkali aqueous solution. A silane compound is added to the slurry so as to coat a hydrolysate of the silane compound on the precipitate of the hydrated oxide. The precipitate of the hydrated oxide after coating is recovered through solid-liquid separation, the recovered precipitate is heated to provide iron particles coated with a silicon oxide, and a part or the whole of the silicon oxide coating is dissolved and removed.

Metal magnetic particle, inductor, method for manufacturing metal magnetic particle, and method for manufacturing metal magnetic core

A metal magnetic particle provided with an oxide layer on a surface of an alloy particle containing Fe and Si. The oxide layer has a first oxide layer, a second oxide layer, and a third oxide layer from a side of the alloy particle. All of the first oxide layer, the second oxide layer, and the third oxide layer contain Si. Also, in line analysis of element content by using a scanning transmission electron microscope-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, the first oxide layer is a layer having Fe content smaller than Si content in the alloy particle, the second oxide layer is a layer having Fe content larger than the Si content in the alloy particle, and the third oxide layer is a layer having Fe content smaller than the Si content in the alloy particle.

Rare Earth Element—Aluminum Alloys

An alloy includes aluminum, a rare earth element, and an alloying element selected from the following: Si, Cu, Mg, Fe, Ti, Zn, Zr, Mn, Ni, Sr, B, Ca, and a combination thereof. The aluminum (Al), the rare earth element (RE), and the alloying element are characterized by forming at least one form of an intermetallic compound. An amount of the rare earth element in the alloy is in a range of about 1 wt. % to about 12 wt. %, and an amount of the alloying element in the alloy is greater than an amount of the alloying element present in the intermetallic compound.

SILVER NANOPARTICLES

The present invention provides silver nanoparticles that form a sintered body having a high shear strength and a low specific resistance when sintered at a low temperature (for example, 200° C. or less), even though the silver nanoparticles have an average particle diameter as large as 200 nm or more. Silver nanoparticles having an average particle diameter of 200 to 600 nm, wherein an exothermic peak due to binding of the silver nanoparticles in thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis appears at less than 175° C., and a weight loss on heating from 30 to 500° C. by thermogravimetry-differential thermal analysis is 0.4% by weight or less.

METHOD FOR THE SURFACE TREATMENT OF PARTICLES OF A METAL POWDER AND METAL POWDER PARTICLES OBTAINED THEREBY

A method for surface treatment of a metal material in a powder state is provided, the method including obtaining a powder formed from a plurality of particles of the metal material to be treated; and subjecting the powder to an ion implantation process by directing a beam of singly-charged or multi-charged ions towards an outer surface of the particles, the beam being produced by a source of singly-charged or multi-charged ions, whereby the particles have an overall spherical shape with a radius (R). There is also provided a material in a powder state formed from a plurality of particles having a ceramic outer layer and a metal core, the particles having an overall spherical shape.
