Parallel wire cable
A parallel wire cable is produced from a plurality of wires arranged in a bundle for use as a structural cable. Each wire in the plurality of wires is parallel to every other wire in the bundle, and each wire in the plurality of wires is tensioned to a tension value.
Transportation of Parallel Wire Cable
A preassembled parallel wire cable creates a random cast of loops. Any of the random cast of loops is hung for transport, thus eliminating costly and time-consuming coiling and reeling operations.
Method for the non-releasable connection of components or component regions and non-releasable connection
A method for the connection of components or component regions and a non-releasable connection produced in this manner. Two connection faces are partially welded to each other with an adhesive layer being incorporated between the two connection faces. The method including the following steps: arranging a welding base on a connection face, applying the adhesive layer to a connection face, moving the connection faces toward each other in such a manner that the welding base is applied against the other connection face, introducing welding current in the region of the applied welding base. A spacer is arranged between the connection faces before the connection faces are moved toward each other. The connection faces are spaced apart from each other in the region of the welding base by the extent that the welding base projects above the spacer.

CLAD MATERIAL AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE HOUSING
This clad material includes a first layer made of a MgLi base alloy, a second layer made of an Al base alloy, and a first bonding portion arranged on a bonding interface between the first layer and the second layer in a section view when cut in a thickness direction and made of a Cu base alloy. The clad material has a specific gravity of 2.10 or less.
Method of coating and protecting coal tip burner with colloidal silica based high temperature and abrasion resistant putty
A wear resistant substrate including a metal substrate having a surface, a reinforcing support attached to the surface and cured reaction products of an inorganic curable composition disposed over and through the reinforcing support and bonded to the surface. Also a method of enhancing the wear resistance of a metal surface by attaching a reinforcing support to the surface; disposing an inorganic curable composition over and through the reinforcing support and into contact with the surface; and curing the composition.
Multi-layer metallic structure and composite-to-metal joint methods
A composite structure comprises stacked sets of laminated fiber reinforced resin plies and metal sheets. Edges of the resin plies and metal sheets are interleaved to form a composite-to-metal joint connecting the resin plies with the metal sheets.
Formed member and manufacturing method thereof
A formed member is provided which can be manufactured at a low cost, which has excellent dimensional accuracy, which has excellent axial crushing properties and three-point bending properties, which has excellent bending stiffness and torsional stiffness, and which is suitable for use in a component of an automobile. The formed member (20) has a reinforcing member (35) which is joined by a weld (40) provided on a ridge portion (28). It is manufactured by joining a flat sheet blank and a flat sheet reinforcing member (35) by a weld (40) and performing bending so that the weld (40) becomes a ridge portion (28).

Roll formed steel beam
The present invention relates to a cold rolled steel beam comprising: a web having two layers of steel, the web having a top end and a bottom end; a pair of bottom flanges extending outwardly from the bottom end of the web; and a pair of top flanges extending outwardly from the top end of the web, each top flange having two layers of steel. Preferably, a portion of each bottom flange has two layers of steel, and the cold rolled steel beam includes a pair of end connectors extending generally orthogonally from the web and positioned generally orthogonally to the bottom flanges and the top flanges. Preferably, the cold rolled steel beam is cold formed from a unitary piece of sheet steel.
