Portable walking stand assembly
11925244 · 2024-03-12 ·

A portable walking stand assembly includes a pair of walking sticks that is each employable by a respective pair of users thereby facilitating each of the walking sticks to assist the pair of users with walking. A pair of grips is each positioned around a respective one of the walking sticks thereby facilitating a respective user to grip a respective grip. A pair of stops is each positioned around a respective one of the walking sticks to inhibit the respective walking stick from sinking into a support surface. A support is removably attachable to the pair of walking sticks thereby facilitating the pair of walking sticks to elevate the support above a support surface. The support has a pair of arms angling away from each other to support an optical device when the support is attached to the pair of walking sticks.

Hinged walking cane

Disclosed is a hinged cane to assist in user mobility. The cane comprises an upper section and a lower section and a hinged mechanism that connects the upper and lower sections. The hinged mechanism comprises a lower block and an upper block and a hinge coupler pivotally connected to the lower block and to the upper block. This configuration enables the lower section to be moved from a use position over a range of travel into a fully folded position. The cane includes a catch mechanism for releasably securing the upper section to the lower section when in the use position. The cane may include a foot that has a relatively more pliable skirt and a relatively less pliable central nub to assist in maintaining the natural walking motion of the user.

Wading Stick with Expanding Support
20190059533 · 2019-02-28 ·

A wading stick is provided with an expanding elastomer support that prevents the stick from sinking into mud or other soft surfaces. The distal end of the support expands away from the stick when it contacts the soft surface. The support circumference increases in response to contact with soft surface and the increased circumference prevents the stick and support from sinking.

IMPETUS POLE

An apparatus that imparts a propelling force upon a body when stepping forward during walking motion is comprised of and assembled concentrically together with a stick, pin, elastic tube, coupler, and hand held grip. The user rotates the apparatus in a forward circular motion towards the same direction of travel about a fixed location at the stick bottom on the ground surface. An impulse occurs from the apparatus upon the ground surface that is caused by the arm and upper body muscular contractions working against the elongation of the elastic tube. Then the coupler that is attached to the recoiling elastic tube attains a momentum that equals the combined masses of the coupler and grasped hand multiplied by the resultant of the tangential and radial velocity vectors. Both resultant impulse and momentum vectors are combined with the user's forward momentum because the user holds onto the grip of the device.
