Methods of preparing adhesive-backed articles and methods of applying adhesives backed articles are described. The adhesive-backed articles include a compliant film and a pressure-sensitive adhesive having a microstructured surface opposite the compliant film.

A label assembly and method of using the same to label articles durably, yet removably. In one embodiment, the method includes providing an image removing laminate. The image removing laminate includes (i) a remover support, and (ii) a remover layer secured to the remover support, the remover layer, upon being activated by at least one of heat and light, being bondable to an ink image on a garment in such a way that the bonding between the remover layer and the ink image is stronger than the bonding between the ink image and the garment. The method then includes bonding the remover layer of the image removing laminate to the ink image on the garment and, then, detaching the ink image from the garment by separating the image removing laminate away from the garment.

A pull-tab sealing member for a container containing an upper laminate forming a pull-tab bonded to a lower laminate capable of being heat sealed to a container's mouth or opening. The upper laminate defines the pull tab wholly within a perimeter or circumference of the seal. The sealing member further includes a sub tab layer or member under the gripping tab for concentric structural support.

An automated method of manufacturing a decoupling underlayment membrane is provided, the method retrieving a membrane sheet, thermoforming a set of cavities into a top surface of the membrane sheet and pressing a set of through holes into the membrane sheet.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a decorative panel which, while having weather resistance, exhibits an excellent gloss-matte effect through relative gloss differences, and can present tone gradations in surface gloss areas. A decorative panel has at least a surface coat layer, and a surface printing layer that is provided to part of the surface, said layers being laminated in the stated order on a heat-resistant substrate, wherein the surface coat layer is formed to a thickness of 5 or greater from a resin composition that contains a fluororesin and a delustering agent, the gloss value of the surface printing layer (at a light incidence angle of 60) being 10 or less, and the gloss value of the surface printing layer (at a light incidence angle of 60) being higher by 10 or greater than the gloss value of the surface coat layer surface (at a light incidence angle of 60).

A decoupling underlayment membrane is described. The decoupling underlayment membrane includes: a set of mortar cavities; a set of through holes; and an adhesive layer coupled to an exterior surface of each mortar cavity in the set of cavities. A method of manufacturing a decoupling underlayment membrane includes: retrieving a membrane sheet; thermoforming a set of cavities into a top surface of the membrane sheet; pressing a set of through holes into the membrane sheet. A decoupling underlayment membrane includes: a set of starfish-shaped cavities arranged in a first repeating pattern and formed into a top surface of the membrane; a set of through holes arranged in a second repeating pattern; and a peel and stick adhesive layer coupled to a bottom surface of the membrane.

An assembly includes a base layer, a top layer spaced from the base layer, a top layer adhesive disposed on an interior surface of the top layer, a liner sandwiched between the top and base layers, and a liner adhesive disposed on a second surface of the liner. The top layer, the liner, and a portion of the base layer collectively define a primary label removable from a remaining portion of the base layer. The primary label has a body section defined by a portion of the top layer and a portion of the liner and a tab section defined by a remaining portion of the top layer, a remaining portion of the liner, and the portion of the base layer covering the liner adhesive of the remaining portion of the liner.
